Abstract: The invention provides an image conversion method and system based on document page content. The page document content is divided, and a single color region and a complex color region are obtained; the page content in the single color region is converted into a first format of image suitable for compressing single color content and storing the compressed single color content; the page content in the complex color region is converted into a second format of image suitable for compressing complex color content and storing the compressed complex color content; the document page content is divided on the aspect of the type, different types of the page content is converted into corresponding formats of images, and the display effect of characters and image information in the document page content is guaranteed.

Abstract: FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves image conversion into latent image containing multiple couples of latent image elements. Latent image elements in each couple are spatially correlated to each other and correspond to one or more converted image elements. Abstract: — Although the error-diffusion technique is widely accepted as providing a good balance of gray-scale reproduction and edge fidelity in halftones, a general graininess of the image remains. Since the visual system is more sensitive to halftoning errors in low frequencies or smooth areas, graininess is most objectionable in these regions. It is less visible in rough areas of an image. In order to gain insight into the error-filtering effects of various error-diffusion weights, we first investigate error-weight modifications in test images that contain only a few textures. Given that the fractal dimension of an image area can predict the area's perceived smoothness or roughness, we describe a novel error-diffusion scheme where the error weights depend on the local fractal dimension of the gray-scale image. The technique modifies the widely used Floyd and Steinberg four-weight mask at each pixel. Results and a comparison with other error-diffusion schemes are provided.

SOLUTION: The image signal processor includes a display part 10 displaying a plurality of images, an image analysis part 3 obtaining and analyzing image information to be displayed on the display part 10, and an image of interest specifying part 6 specifying the image in which a user is interested. The image signal processor further includes a control part 7 detecting the feature of the image of interest on the basis of image analysis results of the image of interest or the like, and changing a display attribute of a surrounding image on the basis of the information, and an image conversion part 8 converting a display image according to instructions from the control part 7.
