TL;DR: In this paper, an image processing apparatus includes an image conversion section 120, which includes a luminance histogram calculating part 121 and a gradation conversion curve generating section 123, which generates a gradient conversion curve for gradient conversion processing of the image data.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and an image display device, capable of performing optical characteristics corrections with high robustness by light-load (low-operation) processings suitable for mobile devices, such as cellular phones. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes an image conversion section 120, which is structured such that the image conversion section 120 includes a luminance histogram calculating part 121 which calculates a luminance histogram for input image data; a gradation conversion curve generating section 123, which generates a gradation conversion curve for gradation conversion processing of the image data, based on the luminance histogram calculated by the luminance histogram calculating section 121; and a gradation conversion section 127, which performs gradation conversion processings on the image data, along the gradation conversion curve generated by the gradation conversion curve generating section 123. TL;DR: In this paper, a tree-ring image edge extraction and segmentation system is presented, which consists of image preprocessing, image conversion, smooth noise reduction and gray variation; the second part is ring extraction, and the third part is analysis result storage.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a tree-ring image edge extraction and segmentation system, belongs to the field of electronic information, and in particular relates to a method for performing edge extraction and segmentation on tree-ring images. By virtue of a computer image processing technology, a tree-ring extraction and segmentation system is developed. The functions of the system are divided into three parts, wherein the first part is image preprocessing and comprises image conversion, smooth noise reduction and gray variation; the second part is ring extraction and segmentation; and the third part is analysis result storage. The system is used for performing digital processing on the tree-ring images to ensure that rings on the processed images can be identified by human eyes and the data volume to be processed in an image identification stage is greatly reduced, and the tree-ring images can be directly quoted by a tree-ring analysis system WINDENDRO.

TL;DR: In this article, the difference between a normal part and a lesion part in an examinee can be quantitatively judged, and which displays easily observable endoscope image for enabling to do the same diagnosis regardless of the degree of observer's skillfulness.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image diagnostic device and an endoscope system by which the difference between a normal part and a lesion part in an examinee can be quantitatively judged, and which displays easily observable endoscope image for enabling to do the same diagnosis regardless of the degree of observer's skillfulness SOLUTION: A IHb is calculated every pixel from the endoscope image inputted by an inter-image arithmetic part 92 The calculated IHb is compared with a prescribed range by an arithmetic comparison part 93 A color slurring quantity for one frame is calculated from the endoscope image inputted by a color slurring quantity calculating part 94 The color slurring quantity is compared with a prescribed value by a color slurring quantity comparison part 95, and the endoscope image inputted by a delay 96 is converted by an image converting part 97 based on the comparison result, and is outputted as a composite image The image converting part 97 executes image conversion in the region in which the IHb is judged to be abnormal regarding the frame in which the color slurring quantity is judged to be small On the other hand, it does not convert the frame having a large color slurring quantity or the region in which the IHb is judged to be normal COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
