Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an image signal whose slanting line is smoothly reproduced when IP (interlace progressive) conversion is applied to it. SOLUTION: An input part 81 inputs an image, as an input image, whose noted line is thinned out. A class classification part 84 classifies each picture element that composes a noted line in an image, as an output image, where the thinning of a noted line is not made. An identical class determination part 86 computes intervals M and N showing a positional relationship between a set of picture element groups classified into a class identical with noted picture elements of a noted line and the noted picture elements. A class sorting part 87 sorts noted picture elements into classes based on the intervals M and N. A product-sum operation part 91 performs forecasting calculation on the noted picture elements using forecasting coefficients identified based on respective classes of noted picture elements classified by the class classification part 84 and class sorting part 87 and a forecasting tap in the input images having a predefined positional relationship with the noted picture elements, thus outputting an output image as a forecasting calculation result. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image at high speed with a short waiting time by reducing loads on image conversion processing in an image transmitter to improve performance of the whole system and by suppressing a time spent until the image is displayed. SOLUTION: An image display device 120 acquires image data information about image data of a plurality of different resolutions which an image transmitter 110 can transmit in association with an image content. Then, the image display device calculates a required time for performing conversion of an image by the image transmitter from a sum of a time for image conversion processing required by image conversion processing related to a change in resolution in the image transmitter and data size/data transmission speed of the image data after the image conversion, calculates a required time for performing conversion of an image by the image display device from a sum of the data size/data transmission speed of original image data and the time for image conversion processing when the original image data are image converted by the image display device, and requests image data of a shorter required time of the image transmitter. Abstract: The invention belongs to the technical field of image conversion and compression, and discloses an image conversion method. The image conversion method comprises the following steps: 101: analyzing an original color image to obtain the color information of all information contents in the image; 102: carrying out weighted processing on the color information, and converting the weighted color image into a grayscale image; 103: analyzing the grayscale image to obtain the resolution of the grayscale image, obtaining an adaptive local range under the resolution, and determining the size of an area impact factor; and 104: traversing the whole image according to the size of the area impact factor, and converting the image into a black-and-white image through an adaptive image binaryzation method with a limited range. By use of the method, the image is clearer after being converted, and is easy in optical recognition.
