TL;DR: In this paper, the original image in the BMP format is divided into two files unequal by volume on the transmitting side before compressing, then each file is separately compressed with the said fractal method, and then stegano-nesting of the smaller file into the bigger one is performed, the received file is transmitted through the said communication channel, and the extraction of the attached file is perfromed on the receiving side.
Abstract: FIELD: radio engineering, communication.SUBSTANCE: method of transmitting images through the communication channel, including the original image conversion on the transmitter side, presented in the BMP format in the compressed image data in the FIC format by compressing the original image with the fractal method, the transmission of the received data through the communication channel, the recovery of the image in the BMP format on the receiving side of the compressed image data in the FIC format, wherein the original image in the BMP format is divided into two files unequal by volume on the transmitting side before compressing, then each file is separately compressed with the said fractal method, thereby two files of the compressed image in the FIC format are obtained, and then stegano-nesting of the smaller file into the bigger one is performed, the received file is transmitted through the said communication channel, and the extraction of the attached file is perfromed on the receiving side, each part of the image in the BMP format is restored, respectively, from each file, and the restored parts of the image are connected together.EFFECT: improving quality and compression ratio.

TL;DR: In this article, an omni-azimuth image formed on a (doughnut-like) object side end face of an optical fiber array is emitted from an approximately rectangular imaging device side-end face 16 to a rectangular imaging devices 11, and the picked-up image is converted in accordance with an image pickup signal of the object side- end face, thereby using all the area of the imaging device 11 as an effective area.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of picking up high-definition wide-angle image by drastically improving the low pixel utilization efficiency which becomes a problem in omni-azimuth imaging using a rectangular imaging device. SOLUTION: An omni-azimuth image formed on a (doughnut-like) object side end face 15 of an optical fiber array 13 is emitted from an approximately rectangular imaging device side end face 16 to a rectangular imaging device 11, and the picked-up image is converted in accordance with an image pickup signal of the object side end face, thereby using all the area of the imaging device 11 as an effective area. Further, a middle portion wherein a camera itself is captured, is not transmitted to the imaging device 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for converting a 2D image into a 3D image utilizing deep learning in an image conversion server is presented, which consists of separating an object area and a background area from the original image.
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for converting a two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional image utilizing deep learning in an image conversion server comprises the steps of: obtaining an original image; separating an object area and a background area from the original image; determining a main object among objects; obtaining a main object image setting an area of the determined main object as a valid value and a background image setting an area except for the main object area as a valid value; obtaining a three-dimensional base image obtained by converting a plane vector direction of the background image; synthesizing the three-dimensional base image and the main object image to generate a three-dimensional image; and outputting the generated three-dimensional image.

TL;DR: In this paper, a posture detection unit detects a posture of the image processing apparatus, an image capturing unit generates a planar image including a subject or a stereoscopic image for stereoscopy of the subject, a mode setting unit setting any one of aplanar image capturing mode and a stereo-image capturing mode, and an image conversion unit converting the image through performing of aspect conversion and reduction processes.
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a posture detection unit detecting a posture of the image processing apparatus, an image capturing unit generating a planar image including a subject or a stereoscopic image for stereoscopy of the subject, a mode setting unit setting any one of a planar image capturing mode and a stereoscopic image capturing mode, an image conversion unit converting the image through performing of aspect conversion and reduction processes, and a control unit operating to record the stereoscopic image on a recording medium regardless of the detected posture of the image processing apparatus if the stereoscopic image capturing mode is set and to record any one of the planar image and a converted image obtained by converting the planar image on the recording medium on the basis of the detected posture of the image processing apparatus if the planar image capturing mode is set.

TL;DR: In this paper, a line image extraction part is used to extract line images from the print data whose line width is below the thickness of the yarn constituting the textile medium, and an image conversion part 46 for warning that the extracted line images are difficult to reproduce.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To issue a warning if there are any lines that would blur when printed on a textile medium, in simulation printing on a textile medium. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 10 for simulating image forming on a textile medium according to print data includes a line image extraction part 44 for extracting line images formed according to the print data whose line width is below the thickness of the yarn constituting the textile medium, and an image conversion part 46 for, if the line image extraction part 44 extracts such line images, warning that the extracted line images are difficult to reproduce.
