Abstract: An image conversion apparatus calculates, based on a first value for obtaining first coordinate values in a second image before first conversion, which correspond to coordinate values of one pixel in a first image after first conversion, a second value for obtaining second coordinate values in the second image, which correspond to coordinate values of a pixel adjacent to the one pixel in the first image. The apparatus converts the second coordinate values into third coordinate values for second conversion of converting a third image into the second image and converts the third image into the first image. In the calculation of the second value, addition or subtraction using a constant and a result of the calculation is iteratively executed for sequentially outputting values corresponding to results of multiplication of coordinate values of each pixel in the first image and the constant.

Abstract: This invention provides an image processing device and an image processing method. Here an image processing device is disclosed. The device includes: a picked image obtaining component which is configured as obtaining picking image; and a setting component of area to be processed, which is configured to analyze the picked image obtained by the picked image obtaining component, and which is configured to use the pixel area of picked thematic image in picked image as area to be processed for performing image conversion treatment according to dimension of the picked thematic image if the analyzed result indicates the picked thematic image of special type existing in the shooting image. The device further includes conversion component which is configured to perform image conversion treatment to the area to be processed where the pixel area thereof is used as the picked thematic image so as to generate the converted image obtained from the image conversion treatment.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image conversion device that converts a color image, expressed in colors into a monochromatic image so as not to lose easy-to-view performance. SOLUTION: A scanner reads a multi-color print original and a computer receives an image (S1). Colors used in the received image are discriminated (S2). The gray scale after conversion is decided, depending on the color information used in the image (S3). The received color image is converted into a monochromatic image with the decided gray scale (S4), and a display device displays (outputs) the image after the conversion (S5).

The image display determination means 310 has a perfection computing means 312 obtaining the degree of perfection of the input pattern used for judgment on the basis of the number of times of deviation within the permissible range of pattern judgment conditions used for judgment from among a plurality of pattern judgment conditions and a varying display means 314 displaying the symbolic image appeared and displayed, varying in accordance with the degree of perfection of the input pattern.
