Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image conversion method capable of accurately restoring original color image, even if an image formed by adding a texture which includes information on a color receives disturbances, such as rotation and enlargement, reduction during a process. SOLUTION: This image conversion method for acquiring the color information of an original image from an image whose color information has been converted into the angle of a texture, and on which the texture has been superimposed includes a process of searching a direction as reference for the angle of the texture; a process of extracting the texture of a site on which the texture has been superimposed; a process of searching for the angle of the texture from the obtained direction as a reference; and a process of acquiring the color information of the original image, based on the obtained angle of the texture. Abstract: When, in an onboard imaging device, scenery on a vehicle exterior is being imaged through a windshield (100), scenery inside the vehicle compartment is reflected by the windshield, resulting in background reflection. The present invention is characterized by being provided with, in order to reduce the impact of the background reflection: imaging devices (10, 20) for obtaining first image data of general video of a predetermined portion (101) in the vehicle compartment, which is composed of video reflected by a windshield (100) and transmission video transmitted through the windshield (100), as well as second image data of the predetermined portion in the vehicle compartment; an image conversion device (30) for converting the second image data to third image data equivalent to the video reflected by the windshield (100); and an image correction device (40) for correcting the first image data on the basis of the third image data.
