TL;DR: In this paper, an image conversion part 30 performs coordinate transformation of a photographed image photographed by an in-vehicle camera 10 into an image representing how a specific area on a ground surface looks from the driving seat of a vehicle.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a driver to intuitively recognize a spatial position of her or his own vehicle. SOLUTION: An image conversion part 30 performs coordinate transformation of a photographed image photographed by an in-vehicle camera 10 into an image representing how a specific area on a ground surface looks from the driving seat of a vehicle. A three-dimensional modeling part 40 creates from a display parameter a three-dimensional model of right and left front wheels in a visual field when the specific area on the ground surface is viewed from the driver's seat of the vehicle. Then, an image composition part 50 composites the three-dimensional model created by the three-dimensional modeling part 40 into an image converted by the image conversion part 30. Moreover, a display 60 displays the image composited by the image composition part 50 instead of the image that has been displayed so far. Thus, the driver can intuitively recognize the spatial relation of her or his vehicle. For example, an effect that decision about clearing of the own vehicle becomes improved when passing through a narrow path or turning a steering wheel quickly in one direction and then the other, can be expected. TL;DR: In this paper, an image conversion method, a signal source device and a display driving device are presented, where the storage module is provided with a data writing interface and the image conversion module is connected with the storage and used for converting received original image data with M colors of subpixels into image data of N colors of sub-pixels according to image conversion algorithm stored in the storage, and inputting the converted data into a time schedule controller.
Abstract: The invention provides an image conversion method, a signal source device and a display driving device. The signal source device comprises a storage module and an image conversion module, wherein the storage module is provided with a data writing interface and used for receiving and storing an image conversion algorithm written through the data writing interface, and the image conversion module is connected with the storage module and used for converting received original image data with M colors of subpixels into image data of N colors of subpixels according to the image conversion algorithm stored in the storage module and inputting the converted data into a time schedule controller. By means of the signal source device, when a data conversion algorithm needs to be changed, the corresponding data conversion algorithm only needs to be written into the storage module of a signal source, and a time schedule controller chip does not need to be changed.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a number of new modern conversion algorithms which are aimed at becoming an alternative to current approaches used in the industry The proposed methods are suitable for both scanned images and documents in electronic format.
Abstract: Bitonal conversion is a basic preprocessing step in Automatic Content Analysis, a very active r esearch area in the past years The information retrieval process is performed usually on black and white documents in order to increase efficiency and use simplified investigation techniques This paper presents a number of new modern conversion algorithms which are aimed at becoming an alternative to current approaches used in the industry The proposed methods are suitable for both scanned images and documents in electronic format Firstly, an algorithm consisting of a contrast enhancement step, followed by a conversion based on adaptive levelling of the document is presented Then a new multi-threshold technique is suggested as a solution for noise interferences, a common feature of scanned books and newspapers Finally, three more approaches adapted to the particular properties of electronic documents are introduced Experimental results are given in order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms

TL;DR: In this article, a voxel projection is used to generate a projection image including two or more regions which are in a state that is suitable for viewing, and an image conversion is performed in accordance with the display conversion condition set for the region to which each voxels belongs.
Abstract: [Problem] To generate a projection image including two or more regions which are in a state that is suitable for viewing. [Solution] A means (12) for setting regions to be displayed sets at least two regions to be displayed from among three-dimensional image data. A means (13) for setting display conversion conditions sets a display conversion condition for each of the at least two regions set to be displayed. A voxel projection means (14) generates a projection image by carrying out projection processing for voxels corresponding to the regions set to be displayed from among the three-dimensional image data. An image conversion means (15) converts the projection image into a display image by converting voxel values of the voxels projected onto the projection image into pixel values for the display image, said conversion being performed in accordance with the display conversion condition set for the region to which each voxel belongs.

TL;DR: In this paper, a self-sustaining movement detection unit (2) is attached to an operator's body and detects a movement or a posture of an attached part of the operator, an image pickup section (40) picks up a projected image from an optical system which simultaneously inputs a peripheral image.
Abstract: A movement detection device comprises a self-sustaining movement detection unit (2) which is attached to an operator's body and detects a movement or a posture of an attached part of the operator's body, an image pickup section (40) picks up a projected image from an optical system which simultaneously inputs a peripheral image. An image conversion section (50) converts an all azimuth image picked up by the image pickup section (40) into a cylindrical panorama image, an image recognition section (60) includes cylindrical panorama images at different times, a camera posture estimation section (70) acquires movement information of the image pickup section (40) based on a comparison result of the image recognition section (60), a space sensor posture estimation section (80) acquires a position/posture of the attached part in a space based on information of the self-sustaining movement detection unit (2) and the camera posture estimation section (70).
