TL;DR: In this article, an image reading apparatus including an optically read unit and an image conversion unit was described. But the authors did not specify the image reading unit's role in the execution of the process for reading the original and converting the image data into a predetermined format.
Abstract: Disclosed is an image reading apparatus including: a reading unit configured to optically read an original and to output image data; an image conversion unit configured to convert the image data into data having a predetermined format; a storing unit configured to store the data having the predetermined format; a transfer unit configured to transfer the data to a designated destination; a judgment unit configured to judge whether the data can be transferred to the designated destination; and an executing unit configured to instruct the image reading apparatus to execute a process for reading the original and for converting the image data to store the data in the storing unit regardless of whether the judgment unit judges that the data can be transmitted, and to instruct the image reading apparatus to transfer the data after the judgment unit judges that the data can be transmitted.

TL;DR: In this article, a small-scaled image conversion apparatus was proposed to provide a small scale image conversion in which an image signal constituted of only signals of one field, in video signals for two fields of one frame, is outputted as a video signal of ITU-656 form.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-scaled image conversion apparatus in which an image signal constituted of only signals of one field, in video signals for two fields of one frame, is outputted as a video signal of ITU656 form. SOLUTION: While using a memory 14 for storing decoded image data, horizontal blanking data and upper and lower vertical blanking data of odd-numbered and even-numbered fields, a detection means for detecting scanning end of the decoded image data and a storage control means 17 for rewriting the horizontal blanking data of odd-numbered fields stored in the memory with horizontal blanking data of even-numbered fields if scanning end of the odd-numbered fields is detected, and rewriting horizontal blanking data of even-numbered fields with blanking data of odd-numbered fields when scanning end of even-numbered fields is detected, horizontal blanking data of odd-numbered or even-numbered fields and decoded image data are sequentially read from the memory and outputted as decoded image data. TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of providing an image processing apparatus, a processing method, and a program that are able to perform converting even image data having a large number of pixels, such as a photograph, into printing image data in a short time by using a small image converting memory was addressed.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and a program that are able to perform converting even image data having a large number of pixels, such as a photograph, into printing image data in a short time by using a small image converting memory.SOLUTION: An image printing apparatus 1 comprises: an original image data storage unit 43a that stores original image data 51; a reduced image generating unit 41a that performs compression processing on the original image data 51 to generate reduced image data 52; an image conversion processing unit 41b that performs image conversion from the reduced image data 52 into painterly image data 53 as converted reduced-image data on the basis of designated image conversion characteristics; a printing image data generating processing unit 41c that performs decompression processing from the painterly image data 53 into printing image data 54 whose number of pixels is greater than that of the reduced image data 52; and a printing processing unit 41d and a printer 47 that execute processing of printing the printing image data 54 on a medium for printing.

TL;DR: In this paper, an information processing device is proposed to extract a white matter lesion from a FLAIR image with high accuracy, which includes a separation processing part 19 for separating a first area including a cerebral ventricle and white matter from a T2 image of a subject.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily extract a white matter lesion from a FLAIR image with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An information processing device 1 includes a separation processing part 19 for separating a first area including a cerebral ventricle and white matter from a T2 image of a subject, a conversion parameter calculation part 25 for calculating a conversion function for converting the T2 image of the subject into a standard brain, a mask image conversion part 29 for converting a mask image for excluding a cerebral ventricle in the standard brain by using an inverse function of the conversion function into a mask image for excluding the cerebral ventricle in an individual brain of the subject, a white matter extraction part 33 for extracting a second area including white matter with the cerebral ventricle excluded from a FLAIR image of the subject on the basis of the first area and the mask image of the subject, and a feature area extraction part 37 for extracting a white matter lesion from the second area.

TL;DR: In this paper, a combination of two different images corresponding to an allocation rule of a three-dimensional display of a 3D reproducing device is provided for spatial representation, which is represented on the display.
Abstract: The method involves transferring image data into an image conversion device in which image transformations are performed based on a determined parameter such that processed image data is designed with an ideal camera configuration. A combination of two different images corresponding to an allocation rule of a three-dimensional display of a three-dimensional reproducing device is provided for spatial representation. The combined three-dimensional image is represented on the display.
