Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-viewpoint video representation system, device and program that hardly fail to photograph an object by following a speed at which the object moves fast. SOLUTION: A projection converting part 50 of this multi-viewpoint camera video representation system 1 applies projection conversion to a video image centered on an observation point from the number of a camera 10-1 selected by the user, image coordinates of the observation point designated by the user and an original video image by the camera 10-1 on the basis of a camera parameter of the camera 10-1. In addition, the number of a changed camera 10-2, the original video image and the image coordinates (world coordinates) of an unchanged observation point are used to perform projection from the observation point of the original video image by the unchanged camera 10-1 to an observation point of the original video image by the changed camera 10-2 on the basis of a camera parameter of the changed camera 10-2, performing image conversion that is similar to the above. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect obstacles such as preceding vehicles and pedestrians with high accuracy even under situations that reflection of the obstacles and surrounding environment is caused on the road surface in a state in which the road surface is wet as in the case of rainy weather. SOLUTION: This obstacle detector is constituted of an image input part 12 to input image from two cameras, an image converting part 14 to convert an image by a camera 1 by image conversion T to convert a pixel point in a road surface area of the image by the camera 1 into the one corresponding to an image by a camera 2, a lane detecting part 16 to detect a traveling lane on a road from characteristics of the image to be obtained from a camera 2, a similarity calculating part 18 to set a processing area to perform inter-image arithmetic operations between the image by the camera 1 and the image by the camera 2, between the image by the camera 2 and the converted image in an image line of the area in the lane by supposing that the obstacles are grounded on the road surface and to calculate similarity between the image by the camera 1 and the image by the camera 2 and similarity between the image by the camera 2 and the converted image respectively and an obstacle judging part 20 to detect the obstacles from difference between two kinds of similarity on a road area to be calculated by the similarity calculating part 18. Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for image conversion and automatic error correction for a digital television receiver (TV) which can improve the picture quality by converting an image signal for a TV or PC that displays an image having an RGB format into an image signal of YPbPr for the digital TV and automatically correcting an error produced in the received image signal. The apparatus includes an image receiving and converting section for converting an image receiving and converting section for converting received RGB image data into image data of a digital TV format and rearranging parity bits and error information bits produced from the converted image data to form one image signal, a storage and image providing section for receiving the image signal from the image receiving and converting section, storing the image signal in a memory bank and providing the image signal so as to detect and correct an error produced in the image signal, and an error correcting and outputting section for receiving the image signal from the storage and image providing section, correcting the error by computing the parity bits and the error information bits from the original image data of the image signal, and interpolating the image to match a 16:9 aspect ratio for the digital TV.
