Date May 1, 1997A method and apparatus for processing a table, in which image data is stored as cell data of table data, so that an operation and procedure for processing the image data as cell data (e.g., an image process of the image data or an output of the image data to a designated cell) can be simple. In a table data output process, it is discriminated whether the type of a designated cell is numerical, character, image or sound data, and the corresponding data is read from a table data file, an image file or a sound file in accordance with the discriminated cell type. The read data is then output to an output region of the designated cell.

Image pick-up information transmitting system and remote control method for an information transmitting system

Abstract: To provide a pull model which can remotely control an image pick-up device by connecting the image pick-up device to an image information receiver through a communication path and operating a general purpose file reading program by the image information receiver. The image pick-up device includes: a communicating unit capable of transmitting and receiving information to/from the image information receiver; and an information processing unit for instructing the information of directories in which the file names of functions indicating at least a function for picking up an image are registered to be transmitted to the image information receiver through the communicating unit. The information processing unit transmits an image file obtained by picking up the image to the image information receiver through the communicating unit, so that the image pick-up device can be easily remotely controlled from the image information receiver.

An Adaptive Watermarking Technique for the copyright of digital images and Digital Image Protection

Abstract: The Internet as a whole does not use secure links, thus information in transit may be vulnerable to interruption as well. The important of reducing a chance of the information being detected during the transmission is being an issue in the real world now days. The Digital watermarking method provides for the quick and inexpensive distribution of digital information over the Internet. This method provides new ways of ensuring the sufficient protection of copyright holders in the intellectual property dispersion process. The property of digital watermarking images allows insertion of additional data in the image without altering the value of the image.In this paper investigate the following relevant concepts and terminology, history of watermarks and the properties of a watermarking system and applications. We are proposing edge detection using Gabor Filters. In this paper we are proposed least significant bit (LSB) substitution method to encrypt the message in the watermark image file. The benefits of the LSB are its simplicity to embed the bits of the message directly into the LSB plane of cover-image and many techniques using these methods. The LSB does not result in a human perceptible difference because the amplitude of the change is little therefore the human eye the resulting stego image will look identical to the cover image and this allows high perceptual transparency of the LSB. The spatial domain technique LSB substitution it would be able to use a pseudo-random number generator to determine the pixels to be used for embedding based on a given key. We are using DCT transform watermark algorithms based on robustness. The watermarking robustness have been calculated by the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Normalized cross correlation (NC) is used to quantify by the similarity between the real watermark and after extracting watermark.

Abstract: A method of bootstrapping from a remote image file comprising loading, by a processor, an initial bootloader, employing the initial bootloader to download a final bootloader from the remote image file via a network, employing the final bootloader to mount the remote image file as a block device, downloading a kernel and root file system mounting data from the remote image, and executing the kernel to bootstrap the processor based on the root file system mounting data.

Document information management system, method and memory

Abstract: A document is read as an image file and stored. At this time, a table is updated. On the table, each of words included in text information obtained by character-recognizing image information output from the read means is associated with a page number of a page including each word and a storage position of the image information. With this table, not only the image information is provided by a full-text search, but also the page number of the page including the search keyword can be provided. The provision of the page number has a potential to facilitate search operations.
