TL;DR: In this paper, a method, apparatus, and program product are provided for delivering and receiving DICOM images, where a plurality of files, including DICom image files (48 and non-DICOM image files, stored on a computer (20) is accessed.
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and program product are provided for delivering and receiving DICOM images. A plurality of files, including DICOM image files (48) and non-DICOM image files, stored on a computer (20) is accessed. The DICOM image files (48) are identified from among the plurality of files by scanning header data of the plurality of files when accessing the plurality of files (110). At least one of the identified DICOM image files (48) is selected to be uploaded in response to user input (114). The selected DICOM image file is uploaded (126) to an application (56) on a server (40).

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a method for distributing moving images provided with a function for efficiently referring to a specified scene inside a moving image file and retrieving/reproducing the moving image scene dispersed in one or plural moving image files by optional retrieval conditions.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for distributing moving images provided with a function for efficiently referring to a specified scene inside a moving image file and retrieving/reproducing a moving image scene dispersed in one or plural moving image files by optional retrieval conditions. SOLUTION: In a scene information storage means 4, a scene number, the time codes of start/end frames, a key word relating to the scene and a moving image file name are inputted beforehand. Scene information stored in the scene information storage means 4 is retrieved by using a scene retrieval means 5 and the scene number of a desired scene is extracted and stored as a scenafio. After the order change of the extracted scenes and the elimination of unrequired scenes are performed by a scenario editing means 8 as needed, moving image data stored in a moving image file storage means 2 are transferred from a server to a client and reproduced in the order of the scene numbers stored in the scenario. TL;DR: This paper describes the studies conducted on the relationship between image format and visual experience of UHDTV and states that user visual experience is some of the most important aspects to be considered.
Abstract: Ultrahigh-definition television (UHDTV) is now being studied as the most promising candidate for next-generation television beyond HDTV. It consists of extremely high-resolution imagery and multichannel 3-D sound to give viewers a stronger sensation of reality. Various aspects should be taken into account when determining UHDTV image format. Of those, it is believed that user visual experience is some of the most important aspects to be considered. This paper describes the studies conducted on the relationship between image format and visual experience of UHDTV.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a system for administering incompatible content for rendering on a display screen of a portable media player, including the content being in a data format incompatible with the portable player, creating a plurality of image files including content, and storing the image files as a playlist.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for administering incompatible content for rendering on a display screen of a portable media player. Embodiments include selecting content for visual display on a display screen of a portable media player, the content being in a data format incompatible with the portable media player; creating a plurality of image files including the content, the image files being in a data format compatible with the portable media player; and storing the plurality of image files as a playlist. Embodiments also typically include storing the playlist on the portable media player and displaying the plurality of images of the playlist on the display screen of the portable media player.

TL;DR: The proposed idea of this research work is to develop the robust image steganography using Least Significant Bit and Discrete Wavelet Transform techniques for digital image signal to improve the robustness & evaluate the performance of these algorithms.
Abstract: Steganography is the science that deals with conveying secret information by embedding into the cover object invisibly. In steganography, only the authorized party is aware of the existence of the hidden message to achieve secret communication. The image file is mostly used cover medium amongst various digital files such as image, text, audio and video. The proposed idea of this research work is to develop the robust image steganography. It is implemented using Least Significant Bit and Discrete Wavelet Transform techniques for digital image signal to improve the robustness & evaluate the performance of these algorithms. The parameters such as mean square error (MSE), bit error rate (BER), peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and processing time are considered here to evaluate the performance of the proposed work. In the proposed system, PSNR and MSE value ranges from 42 to 46 dB and 1.5 to 3.5 for LSB method respectively. For DWT method these results are further improved as it gives higher PSNR values between 49 to 57 dB and lower MSE values 0.2 to 0.7.
