TL;DR: In this article, a plurality of image output conditions for output devices and output device control information CI for designating image output condition are stored in a Makernote data storage region 113 so that the optimum image output result can be obtained by allowing for color reproducibility and an image output characteristic in each output device.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly reproduce image data for each of a plurality of output devices. SOLUTION: A plurality of image output conditions for output devices and a plurality of output device control information CI for designating image output conditions are stored in a Makernote data storage region 113 so that the optimum image output result can be obtained by allowing for color reproducibility and an image output characteristic in each output device. Identification information 114 as information for designating an output device and an output control information 115 for controlling the output to be designated are contained in each information CI. Since an image file GF is provided with the information CI corresponding to the plurality of output devices, a plurality of combinations of the information 114 and the information 115 are contained in the region 113.

TL;DR: In this paper, a digital camera and an image editing system capable of inputting information corresponding to each photographed image every time a photographer takes a picture, and of using the photographed images in business as they are without editing afterward, are described.
Abstract: Disclosed are a digital camera and an image editing system capable of inputting information corresponding to each photographed image every time a photographer takes a picture, and of using the photographed images in business as they are without editing afterward. When an editing mode transfer switch ( 30 ) is depressed in a photographing mode, a memo setting screen is displayed on a liquid crystal monitor ( 26 ). Then, if a text-based input title is selected, a soft keyboard is displayed on the liquid crystal monitor ( 26 ), and text data is inputted from a touch panel on the liquid crystal monitor ( 26 ) by operating a touch pen so as to edit a memo. After that, the operation returns to the photographing mode, and a shutter button is depressed, so that image data is fetched from a imaging element to be stored in a memory card as an image file in an Exif format. At this time, memo information is stored in a header of the Exif format. When transmitting the image file, the file is also sent together with the memo information.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a control method for printing an image based on image data from an image data source, where the image data is not a new format file image data, and the correction processing in accordance with the correction condition is not performed.
Abstract: An image printing apparatus and its control method for printing an image based on image data from an image data source. In a case where a correction condition is set for the image data, if the image data is a new format file image data including predetermined information, correction processing is performed in accordance with the set correction condition. If the image data is not a new format file image data, the correction processing in accordance with the correction condition is not performed.

TL;DR: In this paper, an image forming device can have its output conditions easily changed by storing pieces of output setting data generated by a host computer and allowing a user to select one of them at output time.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image forming device which can have its output conditions easily changed by storing pieces of output setting data generated by a host computer and allowing a user to select one of them at output time. SOLUTION: Image data are not printed out as they are, but saved on an HDD 202 together with an ID number while given a file name; and output formats of the data are also specified by the host, received through a host interface 214, and registered in a specific area on the HDD 201 together with an ID number while given a file name. Then the user inputs an ID number through the operation part 221 of a copying machine to list and display registered file names and output format setting files on the display screen of the operation part, and makes a choice to print out the image data of the selected file in selected output format.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method of printing a fluorescent image superimposed on a color image was proposed, in which the fluorescent image defines an outline of the color image, so that the colour image is recognizable in a dark viewing area.
Abstract: A method of printing a fluorescent image superimposed on a color image An image source captures an image and converts the image to an image file that is transferred to a controller The controller controls operation of a print head that prints a plurality of monochrome images forming a color image when the monochrome images are superimposed in registration one upon the other In the case of a thermal dye printer, the plurality of monochrome images are formed by selective thermal transfer of dye from yellow, magenta and cyan dye color patches to a receiver In the case of an inkjet printer, the plurality of monochrome images are formed by selective activation of ink channels containing cyan, magenta and yellow ink so as to eject cyan, magenta and yellow ink droplets onto the receiver In the case of the thermal dye printer, the invention provides a dye carrier containing a phosphorous dye color patch In the case of an inkjet printer, the invention provides that at least one of the channels contains a phosphorous colorant After the color image is formed, using either the thermal dye printer or the ink jet printer, image information defined only by a selected one of the monochrome images is used by the print head to print a fluorescent image superimposed on the color image The fluorescent image is printed bi-modally in registration with the selected one of the monochrome images In this manner, the fluorescent image defines an outline of the color image, so that the color image is recognizable in a dark viewing area
