TL;DR: A web-based editing system of compound documents suitable for web browsing and the method thereof are disclosed in this article, where different kinds of files may be uploaded to a web folder and then transformed into several HTML files and XML-based files for viewing in a web browser (for instance, Internet Explorer).
Abstract: A web-based editing system of compound documents suitable for web browsing and the method thereof are disclosed. By using the web-based editing system, different kinds of files may be uploaded to a web folder and then transformed into several HTML files and XML-based files for viewing in a web browser (for instance, Internet Explorer). The above-mentioned different kinds of files include *.ppt (PowerPoint files), *.doc (Word files), *.xls (Excel files), .mht (packaged web files) and image files (*.bmp, *.jpg, *.gif, *.png).

TL;DR: In this paper, a wristwatch with an objective lens and an image sensor for taking photographs is described, where the photographs are digitized in an analogue-digital converter, then stored within a memory.
Abstract: The watch includes image compression circuits, and a radio link sending image to a remote receiver. The wrist watch (1) comprises equipment with an objective lens and an image sensor for taking photographs. These photographs are digitized in an analogue-digital converter, then stored within a memory. The memory may comprise both DRAM and SRAM components. The watch may also include a display cell showing the collected image. An electronic module processes the stored images for radio transmission to a separate receiver. The module provides image compression to minimize the image file size, prior to transmission. The receiving module (36) may then be connected to a monitor screen (42), a printer (40) or a computer (38) for display of the photograph.

TL;DR: In this article, a device is configured to enhance operation using non-image data in an image file, such as event information such as events from a user's calendar application, public event information, etc.
Abstract: A device is configured to enhance operation using non-image data in an image file This non-image data may be added to the image file by the device The non-image data may include event information such as events from a user's calendar application, public event information, etc The non-image data could include data based on a recognition program (eg photo-recognition program) run on the image The non-image data could be added by associating images together The non-image data could also be from any number of other sources One embodiment for enhancing operation is the ability to access images in unique ways, such as access all images associated with an event using a calendar application Another example is to access all images of a contact using a contacts application

TL;DR: In this article, a microfluidic display apparatus responsive to an image file for displaying a plurality of colored pixel, having at least one color for each pixel includes at least a fluid display chamber for displaying the color; a microchannel connected to the display chamber and including a first colored fluid which, when such fluid is moved to display chamber, displays the first color as a pixel and a second colored fluid that, when moved to the displayed pixel, shows the second color as an image pixel.
Abstract: A microfluidic display apparatus responsive to an image file for displaying a plurality of colored pixel, having at least one color for each pixel includes at least one fluid display chamber for displaying a color; a microchannel connected to the display chamber and including a first colored fluid which, when such fluid is moved to the display chamber, displays the first color as a pixel and a second colored fluid which, when moved to the display chamber, displays the second color as a pixel; and microfluidic pumps for each microchannel. A computer controls the microfluidic pumps in response to a particular pixel of the image file for selectively controlling the flow of fluid to the chamber for selectively displaying either the first or second colors or a fraction of each color thereof.
