TL;DR: In this paper, an inductive sensing device is arranged for location in the magnetic field surrounding a conductor, an electronic device responsive to the sensing device assumes a first state in response to sensing a trip condition and remains in the first state until set to a second state, a signaling device coupled to the electronic device serves for generating a signal only in response of the electronic devices being in the initial state, and a timing device responds to the incoming signal for setting the device to the second state after a predetermined period.
Abstract: In the disclosed fault indicator a sensing device is arranged for location in the magnetic field surrounding a conductor, an electronic device responsive to the sensing device assumes a first state in response to the sensing device sensing a trip condition and remains in the first state until set to a second state, a signaling device coupled to the electronic device serves for generating a signal only in response to the electronic device being in the first state, and a timing device responsive to the electronic device assumes the first state serves for setting the electronic device to the second state after a predetermined period. The sensing device is an inductive sensor, preferably a coil with an axis transverse to the conductor. In one embodiment an inrush restraint circuit renders the electronic device insensitive to inrush currents.

TL;DR: In this article, a micro inductive sensor for detecting metal scraps in the oil liquid is characterized by being capable of 1 achieving on-line detecting of the metal scraps, 2 adopting the micro coil to measure, measuring metal scraps with small size, 3 judging the ferromagneticnetism or non-ferromagnetism of metal scraps so as to provide more diagnosis information for judging whether an abrasion portion is a bearing or a gear and 4 measuring the oil in array mode and increasing numbers of measured oil samples.
Abstract: The utility model discloses a micro inductive sensor for detecting metal scraps in oil liquid, which belongs to the technical field of senor application and comprises a three-way pipe connector, a piston, a micro coil, a printed circuit board (PCB), a welding wire, a bonding lead and an insulation layer. The micro inductive sensor for detecting metal scraps in the oil liquid is characterized by being capable of 1 achieving on-line detecting of the metal scraps in the oil liquid; 2 adopting the micro coil to measure, measuring metal scraps with small size, like the metal scraps with diameter ranging from 20mum to 120mum, giving out forecast in earlier stage of the abrasion invalidation of equipment so that maintenance measures can be adopted; 3 judging the ferromagnetism or non-ferromagnetism of the metal scraps so as to provide more diagnosis information for judging whether an abrasion portion is a bearing or a gear and the like; and 4 measuring the oil liquid in array mode and increasing numbers of measured oil samples.

TL;DR: In this paper, a sensor for the measurement of magnetically active or ferrous debris, for example, as generated as a result of machine wear, is presented, where a sensor (5) having a magnetic sensor head adapted to produce a magnetic field, responsive to changes in the magnetic field; a temperature probe (15).
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sensor arrangement. In particular, a sensor for the measurement of magnetically active or ferrous debris, for example, as generated as a result of machine wear. There is provided a sensor (5) having a magnetic sensor head adapted to produce a magnetic field,- a magnetic field sensor (10) responsive to changes in the magnetic field; a temperature probe (15); and processing means (50) for determining the amount of debris accumulated on the magnetic sensor head based on both magnetic field and temperature data.

TL;DR: In this paper, an alternating magnetic field is used and the film is electrically conducting to measure thicknesses of coatings on plastic foils, which enables problem-free null measurement and calibration.
Abstract: The measurement film is located at a fixed distance from a sensor which generates a field causing a physical effect in the measurement field. The sensor can be placed in at least two positions. In a first position, a field is directed at the film and in the second position the field is directed away from the film. The sensor can be rotatably mounted on a linearly movable mounting device. At least two sensors mounted on the mounting device can be arranged on either side of the film (1). An alternating magnetic field is used and the film is electrically conducting. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. for measuring thicknesses of coatings on plastic foils. Enables problem-free null measurement and calibration.

TL;DR: An electric circuit model describing an inductive sensor of cardiac mechanical activity in its working condition has been developed in this paper, which comprises a single-turn coil which is fed by 7.7 MHz constant current and induces probing eddy currents in the body.
Abstract: An electric circuit model describing an inductive sensor of cardiac mechanical activity in its working condition has been developed. The sensor comprises a single-turn coil which is fed by 7.7 MHz constant current and induces probing eddy currents in the body. The inductor is considered to be attached to the thoracic surface of a normal human male, in front of the heart. A simple axial-symmetric model of the thorax, formed of tightly packed circular current tubes, has been used to calculate the resistances, self-inductances and mutual inductances within the human body. Then the inductor and the eddy currents in the body were reduced to a system of two inductively coupled coils; estimates of the parameters and frequency response of the system have been found; the active and reactive contributions of the human body to the resulting impedance of the inductor were calculated.
