TL;DR: In this article, an inductive sensor made as an inductance coil set in the open end face annular groove of a ferrite core with a central hole and two infrared photodetectors with the inductive and capacitive sensors being mounted between them is used for identification of heated and unheated metal and non-metal items.
Abstract: FIELD: physics, measurement. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inspection equipment and can be used in mechanical engineering for identification (recognition) of heated and unheated metal and non-metal items. Device comprises an inductive sensor made as an inductance coil set in the open end face annular groove of a ferrite core with a central hole, a capacitive sensor set inside the ferrite core central hole coaxially to the hole and two infrared photodetectors with the inductive and capacitive sensors being mounted between them. Inductive and capacitive sensors together with the infrared photodetectors are set in one plane along the straight line and form a device sensor. When a heated metal item is passing the device sensor following stages take place sequentially: light striking of the first infrared photodetector, crossing of the electromagnetic field of the inductive sensor, interacting with the electric field of the capacitive sensor and light striking of the second infrared photodetector. A signal with the logic "1" level informing about the identification of the heated metal item is observed at the first device output. In this case voltages with the logic "0" level are present at the second and third device outputs. In case of heated non-metal item passing a signal with the logic "1" level informing about the identification of the heated non-metal item is observed only at the second device output, and voltages with the logic "0" level are present at the first and third device outputs. In case of unheated metal or non-metal item passing by the device sensor a signal with the logic "1" level is observed only at the third device output. In this case voltages with the logic "0" level are present at the first and second device outputs. ^ EFFECT: ensuring contactless identification of heated metal and non-metal and unheated items. ^ 6 dwg

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-chip power integrated circuit with a sensor and a switch is described, where the switch can be tripped through the sensor when the temperature detected by the sensor exceeds a pre-set limit value.
Abstract: The invention relates to a two-chip power integrated circuit. According to the invention, a sensor chip (1) with a sensor is placed on a switch chip (1), said switch chip having a switch. The sensor is connected electrically to the switch so that said switch can be tripped through the sensor when the temperature detected by said sensor exceeds a pre-set limit value. At least one supply lead (5) of the switch is arranged close to the sensor so that the sensor chip (2) heats up more quickly.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for obtaining a signal from an LR oscillation bridge circuit of an approach sensor is presented. But the method is not suitable for the case of an inductive approach sensor.
Abstract: Inductive approach sensor has an oscillation circuit (10) that is influenced by the approach of a metallic object and an evaluation device that generates a sensor signal. A sensor coil (12) and a reference coil (14) are in an LR bridge circuit (24) together with resistances (20, 22). A voltage tap (30, 32) is in both the inductive and resistive branches of the bridge circuit. An independent claim is made for a method for obtaining a signal from an LR oscillation bridge circuit of an approach sensor.

TL;DR: In this paper, a material independent compact industrial linear inductive distance sensor is presented, which operates with a gradiometric coil arrangement and pulsed excitation, and the time dependent transient signal waveforms are evaluated by artificial neural networks in terms of target position.
