TL;DR: In this article, a multipurpose autonomous robot that has PIR sensor, Inductive proximity sensor, and fire sensor which get activated based on external stimuli is presented, which provides continuous visual monitoring through the wireless camera attached to the robot and sends continuous data to the control unit.
Abstract: Robots play a major role in many walks of life and are extensively used in the areas of defense, industries, medical and home appliances. They can carry out different risky jobs that cannot be done by human. This paper presents multipurpose autonomous robot that has PIR sensor, Inductive proximity sensor, and fire sensor which get activated based on external stimuli. The system provides continuous visual monitoring through the wireless camera attached to the robot and sends continuous data to the control unit. The robotic arm fitted on the robot is employed for pick and place operations while the laser gun attached to the robot is utilized for pointing laser rays to hit the target object.

Abstract: In this paper an inductive integrated sensor to be adopted in sensing application on microfluidic systems for biomedical applications is presented. It is based on the use of magnetic particles that, suitably coated, act as markers of the bio-molecule to be detected. The device consists of a primary coil and two secondary coils arranged in a differential configuration. The sensing principle of the device is related to the output voltage variation on the secondary coils due to the presence of the magnetic beads only over one of the two coils. A general transduction mechanism is therefore presented together with analytical models and some discussion on novel integrated devices whose layout is proposed here. These sensors will be embedded into a more general ”lab on a chip” device in which suitable microfluidics will be implemented both to bind markers with analyte and to drive the fluid into the sensing chamber.

TL;DR: In this article, a method and an apparatus for keeping constant the distance of a tool from a workpiece to be worked, in particular for keeping the distance between the tool and the workpiece surface being registered by a sensor and the output signals of the sensor being fed to a tool height adjustment was proposed.
Abstract: A deterioration in the quality of flame cuts is avoided by a method and an apparatus for keeping constant the distance of a tool from a workpiece to be worked, in particular for keeping constant the distance of a cutting torch of a flame-cutting machine from a workpiece, the changes in distance between the tool and the workpiece surface being registered by a sensor and the output signals of the sensor being fed to a tool height adjustment. This is achieved according to the invention by the changes in distance being registered during working by the first sensor, preferably an arc-dependent sensor, and by the output signal of a second sensor, preferably a capacitive or inductive sensor, being fed to the tool height adjustment whenever a variable influencing the distance-proportional output signal of the first sensor is initiated or occurs.

TL;DR: In this article, a system and method that automatically determine a type of material at a machine input to prevent damage to the machine is presented, where a user interface receives a selection of a material type to be loaded into the machine.
Abstract: A system and method that automatically determine a type of material at a machine input to prevent damage to the machine. A user interface receives a selection of a material type to be loaded into the machine. A controller performs a safety check before starting a process using the machine by matching the selected material type to a material type at the machine input determined based on signals received from a plurality of sensors. The plurality of sensors comprise a material present sensor, a material type sensor opposed by a different material having a inductive sensor correction factor of 0.5 or less, and a material color sensor.

TL;DR: In this paper, a co-ordinate digitiser for use with computerized systems for the reading of technical drawings utilises an inductive sensor, where a number of conducting wire loops are arranged in columns with a fixed distance between each other.
Abstract: A co-ordinate digitiser for use with computerized systems for the reading of technical drawings utilises an inductive sensor A number of conducting wire loops are arranged in columns with a fixed distance between each other The loops are located on a plate over which is located a cylindrical coil with a continuously supplied alternating current winding The sensor loops are represented by two pairs such that when magnetic field is moved the direction of motion may be determined Comparison of phase between the two loops enables the position to be determined Two such sensing arrangements located perpendicular to each other provide a full two axis co-ordinate digitisation
