TL;DR: In this paper, a discrete multi-tip vibration sensor was proposed, which is sensitive down to a few nanometers of oscillation amplitude, where the distance between the tip of emitting mounds and the counter-electrode (anode) is changed in the rhythm of the vibrating object under study.
Abstract: In ultra-precision machining and ultra-fine materials processing, the dimensional accuracy of manufactured parts is affected by the dynamical behavior of the positioning system, as the presence of vibrations can cause unwanted motion in any axis. Displacement sensors, like piezoelectric, capacitive or inductive sensors are mostly used in those applications, while for oscillation measurements of the vibrating beam in AFM-applications, Single Electron Transistors (SET’s) are also applied. We propose a discrete multi-tip vibration sensor, which is sensitive down to a few nanometers of oscillation amplitude. Cold field electron emission from an array of nano-size cones grown on SiC is applied, where the distance between the tip of emitting mounds and the counter-electrode (anode) is changed in the rhythm of the vibrating object under study.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors presented the structure of an eddy current sensor for linear speed measurements, which has one excitation coil and two pairs of antiserially connected pick-up coils, which are located inside and outside the excitation coils.
Abstract: This article presents the novel structure of an eddy current sensor for linear speed measurements. The sensor has one excitation coil and two pairs of antiserially connected pick-up coils, which are located inside and outside the excitation coil. The design and modeling of the sensor are considered with an air core and with a magnetic yoke (core) to compare their performances in terms of sensitivity and nonlinearity error. The experiments and the analysis are performed at different excitation frequencies and speeds. A novel three-dimensional analytical method is developed and utilized for parametric analysis and for the design of this sensor. The simulation results are compared with measurements up to 16.7 m/s (60 km/h). The achieved nonlinearity error is as low as 0.3%.

TL;DR: In this article, a lighting device for a motor vehicle, comprising a safety device for detecting fault states, and a method for detecting faults, was presented. But the safety device was not designed to detect fault states of the vehicle.
Abstract: The invention discloses a lighting device for a motor vehicle, comprising a safety device for detecting fault states, and a method for detecting fault states. The lighting device (10) for a motor vehicle, comprises a laser light source (16) which is designed to emit light (16a); a reflector (14) with a reflective side (14a), which is designed to reflect light, and an electrically conductive layer; and an outer side (14b), which faces away from the reflective side (14a) and is arranged opposite the reflective side. The lighting device further has a safety device (12) for detecting fault states of the lighting device (10). The safety device (12) has at least one inductive sensor (12a) which is arranged on the exterior of the reflector (14) such that the outer side (14b) of the reflector (14) faces the inductive sensor (12a), and the reflective side (14a) of the reflector (14) faces away from the inductive sensor (12a). The safety device (12) is designed to detect a temperature change of at least one region of the reflective side (14a) of the reflector (14) by means of the inductive sensor (12a).

TL;DR: In this article, a sensor for measurement of magnetic field for long time is presented, which combines two sections: a mechanical part allows the measurement of the low frequency, while an inductive sensor provides the signal for high frequency analysis.
Abstract: A sensor for measurement of magnetic field for long time is presented. It combines two sections: a mechanical part allows the measurement of the low frequency, while an inductive sensor provides the signal for high frequency analysis. After a description of the specification, its basic principle and architecture are presented. The performances of the sensor are discussed analyzing the response to a magnetic field step variation: the interest property is the long time extension of the sensor output without any drift. The frequency response of the sensor is also briefly analyzed.

TL;DR: In this paper, an electromagnetic induction sensing control brick molding press with a bat-handle switch and an on-off control mechanism is presented. But the switch is not connected with an inductive circuit and a return spring.
Abstract: The utility model discloses an electromagnetic induction sensing control brick molding press which comprises an on-off control mechanism arranged on a rack supporting point, wherein the on-off control mechanism comprises a handle and a bat-handle switch, the handle is connected with an electronic inductive circuit and a return spring, and the electronic inductive circuit comprises two electronic relays and two electromagnetic inductive sensors which are respectively connected with the two electronic relays. The handle controls the switch to transmit electromagnetic signals, and after the electromagnetic sensor receives electromagnetic signals generated by the up and down triggering of the handle, the contact of relay contacts are connected, and an electromagnetic control valve is adopted to realize the rising and setting of the hammer of the brick molding press.
