TL;DR: In this paper, an inductive displacement sensor for determining a position of a first object relative to a second object having a coding device to be attached to the first object, having a sensor unit to attach to the second object, said sensor unit comprising a plurality of inductive sensors for scanning the coding device.
Abstract: The invention relates to an inductive displacement sensor for determining a position of a first object relative to a second object having a coding device to be attached to the first object, having a sensor unit to be attached to the second object, said sensor unit comprising a plurality of inductive sensors for scanning the coding device. The inductive displacement sensor according to the invention is characterized in that the coding device comprises a plurality of marking sections separated from one another by measurement sections, at least the measurement sections having variable widths, in that the marking sections and the measurement sections have different physical properties to aid differentiation by the sensor unit, in that identification regions are formed by the measurement sections or by the measurement sections along with adjacent marking sections, in that the sensor unit is at least long enough in the extension direction of the coding device and the number of inductive sensors is at least great enough that at least one identification region may be detected in every measurement situation, and in that, in order to distinctly associate an identification region with an absolute position of the sensor unit relative to the coding device, each identification region occurs precisely once on the coding device. The invention further relates to a coding bar and a method for determining a position of a first object relative to a second object.

TL;DR: In this paper, a hand measurement with inductive proximity sensors and two tapes is performed, meanwhile main tape and disturbing tape are separated by an obstruction sheet, and data results are used to analyze the influence of the obstruction sheet thickness anddisturbance tape to the noise in received signals.
Abstract: Non-contactingproximity sensors are widely promoted for position detection through determiningthe distance between sensor and object. Besides, the usage of non-contactinginductive proximity sensors for object detections such as finding non-ferrousand ferrous metal tape is the popular technique in mobile robots. Most of thetechnology uses simple HF- oscillation principle as an inductive proximitysensor (IPS) with a decrease in the quality of the oscillator circuit’selectromagnetic to find the tape. By applying this technique, the externalfactors may cause negative effects to systemperformance. To overcome this situation, we set up a hand measurement withinductive proximity sensors and two tapes, meanwhile main tape and disturbingtape are separated by an obstruction sheet. After measuring, dataresults are used to analyze the influence of the obstruction sheet thickness anddisturbance tape to the noise in received signals. The research isthe fundament for further applications, based on inductive proximity sensor formobile robot that could be more robust against noises and disturbances.

TL;DR: In this article, the rotor has a closed metal conductor and a bearer that carries the metallic conductor and which consists of a plastic that is geometrically stable in the working medium.
Abstract: The rotor has a closed metal conductor (1) in which currents are induced corresponding to the angular position when the shaft rotates and a bearer (2) that carries the metallic conductor and which consists of a plastic that is geometrically stable in the working medium. The bearer can be part of the shaft or can be attached to the shaft and the metal part can be a stamped part. AN Independent claim is also included for an arrangement with a rotor and a shaft mounted in a corrosive medium.

TL;DR: In this article, a high-resolution capacitive proximity sensor with high-quality haptics and optics is presented, having a ceramic disk behind which electrode sectors (18) are located.
Abstract: The invention relates to a high-resolution capacitive proximity sensor (11) with high-quality haptics and optics, said proximity sensor having a ceramic disk, behind which electrode sectors (18) are located. The ceramic disk is the base (13) of a flat pot (12) which is produced integrally in a ceramic injection molding process. Defined surface structures of the operating surface (14) on the pot base (13) are used in particular for tactile user guidance, while illuminated regions of the pot base (13) are used for optical user guidance, the pot base being axially accessible from the outside. The sensor circuit (16), which is placed in the pot (12) behind the electrode sectors (18), facing away from the operating surface, is surrounded by an electric conductor (27) in order to dissipate electrostatic charges, said conductor preferably being designed as an elastic buffer against the radial assembly environment.
