TL;DR: A gripper assembly includes at least one movable gripper jaw (40a, 40b) and a sensor member (32) coupled for movement with the gripper. as discussed by the authors
Abstract: A gripper assembly includes at least one movable gripper jaw (40a, 40b) and a sensor member (32) coupled for movement with the at least one gripper jaw. The sensor member includes a slot (62). A sensor is located at least partially within the slot and includes at least one inductor (64a, 64b) for inductively detecting a proximity of the sensor member.

TL;DR: In this paper, a high speed sensor system including coupler, a sensor, a memory module, and a processor module is provided, which includes a transmitter coil adapted to be energized by a high frequency current source and at least two receiving coils.
Abstract: A high speed sensor system including coupler, a sensor, a memory module, and a processor module is provided. The sensor includes a transmitter coil adapted to be energized by a high frequency current source and at least two receiving coils. One of the receiver coils generates a sine-like function output signal and the other generates a cosine-like function output signal upon rotation of the coupler. The memory module is operable to compensate for non-sinusoidal output signals caused by the high speed sensor system and the gap between the coupler and the at least two receiving coils. The processor module is communicatively coupled to the memory module. The processor module is configured to process the non-sinusoidal output signals from both the first and second receiver coils, determine the offset error, and generate a corrected output signal representative of the rotational position of the coupler.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a bound package length metering device for a horizontal packing machine, which consists of a compression chamber, a pressing part, a signal acquisition unit and a signal processing unit, wherein the compression chamber is used for receiving, compressing and discharging wastes.
Abstract: The invention relates to a bound package length metering device for a horizontal packing machine. The device comprises a compression chamber, a pressing part, a signal acquisition unit and a signal processing unit, wherein the compression chamber is used for receiving, compressing and discharging wastes; the pressing part can be driven or transmitted in an electrical, hydraulic or mechanical manner; the signal acquisition unit is formed by a strip-type seam of an upper cover of the compression chamber, a tension spring, a ratchet, a ratchet installation rack and a base; the signal processing unit is formed by an inductive proximity sensor, a pulse counting circuit, a singlechip, a driving module and an executive component relay; and the inductive proximity sensor is installed on the circumferential edge of the ratchet to count the number of teeth of the rotating wheel of the ratchet. The device has the following advantages that the proximity sensor is installed on the circumferential edge of the ratchet and measures the number of teeth of the rotating wheel of the ratchet, the number of teeth is processed by a signal input unit and then a user program stored in the singlechip gives out an action command of the executive component relay, thus achieving full-automatic control.

TL;DR: In this paper, an inductive sensor integrated buoy applicable to viscous liquid level measurement is described, where a plurality of bulges are set at a central hole of the buoy, so gaps between the buoy and ameasurement rod are increased, a superposition area is reduced, and the motion is free and smooth.
Abstract: The invention discloses an inductive sensor integrated buoy applicable to viscous liquid level measurement. A plurality of bulges are set at a central hole of the buoy, so gaps between the buoy and ameasurement rod are increased, a superposition area is reduced, when the buoy and the measurement rod carry out relative motion in viscous liquid, viscous force is reduced, and the motion is free andsmooth.

TL;DR: In this paper, a base unit 400 and a separate toy piece 100 were used to create a magnetic field that penetrates out through the surface of the base unit and a driver circuit for driving an electrical current through the inductor.
Abstract: Toy apparatus has a base unit 400 and a separate toy piece 100. The base unit 400 has a surface 411, an inductor 420 located behind the surface 411, and a driver circuit 430 for driving an electrical current through the inductor 420 for energizing the inductor 420 to create a magnetic field that penetrates out through the surface 411. The toy piece 100 has a body 110, a sensor 120 located in the body 110, and an event generator 130, such as an LED 130A associated with the sensor 120 for in operation generating an event, such as a light event, when the body 110 is moved close to the surface 411 of the base unit 400, with the sensor 120 being subject to said magnetic field.
