TL;DR: In this paper, a switchable rotation drive device has a switching mechanism wherein a first connecting sleeve that always rotates integrally with a motor hollow rotor, and a second connecting-sleeves that always rotate integrically with a planetary carrier of a planetary gear reduction mechanism are connected via a bearing in a relatively rotatable state, and the first connecting sleeves are formed with a sun gear.
Abstract: A switchable rotation drive device has a switching mechanism wherein a first connecting sleeve that always rotates integrally with a motor hollow rotor, and a second connecting sleeve that always rotates integrally with a planetary carrier of a planetary gear reduction mechanism are connected via a bearing in a relatively rotatable state, and the first connecting sleeve is formed with a sun gear. By sliding the switching mechanism, the output shaft can be switched between high-speed rotation and low-speed rotation. In comparison to a case in which the entirety of the planetary gear reduction mechanism is made to slide, the sliding region may be smaller, and the required space needed to allow sliding may also be smaller. Therefore, it is advantageous to reduce the size of the device and make it more compact.

TL;DR: A thermal cell electrode composed of a thin metal sheet in the form of two laterally spaced members integrally connected at adjacent edges by a strip, the first of said members being in the shape of a pair of isosceles triangles joined through their bases and in which the apex of the equal sides of one of said triangles is truncated.
Abstract: 1. A thermal cell electrode composed of a thin metal sheet in the form of two laterally spaced members integrally connected at adjacent edges by a strip, a first of said members being in the shape of a pair of isosceles triangles joined through their bases and in which the apex of the equal sides of one of said triangles is truncated, and the other of said members defining a truncated triangle smaller than the truncated portion of said first member.

TL;DR: In this article, a rotor core is formed by stacking a plurality of core-laminations (26) made of magnetic materials and an integral corelamination, and joining them to each other.
Abstract: A rotor (10) includes a plurality of permanent magnets (14) disposed around a shaft (12) at generally equal intervals, and a plurality of laminated core members (16) disposed between the permanent magnets (14) so as to form magnetic poles. The laminated core members (16) are formed by stacking a plurality of core-laminations (26) made of magnetic materials and an integral core-lamination, and joining them to each other. The integral core-lamination includes a plurality of core-lamination sections each having a shape the same as that of the core-lamination (26), and connecting portions (46) for connecting adjacent core-lamination sections with each other. When the large number of core-laminations (26) and the integral core-lamination are integrally joined by a press-fitting process, the laminated core members (16) are connected with each other in such a relative arrangement of a finished assembly that a space for locating the permanent magnet (14) is defined between the adjacent laminated core members (16), and thus an integral laminated rotor core (48) is formed.

TL;DR: In this paper, an alpha-numeric array is provided for the selective display of characters as controlled by associated character generator programming circuitry, which utilizes a 5×7 matrix array of individually operable illumination sources, with programmed combinations of the individual illumination sources being operated to display the programmed characters.
Abstract: An alpha-numeric array is provided for the selective display of characters as controlled by associated character generator programming circuitry. The display array in one character format utilizes a 5×7 matrix array of individually operable illumination sources, LED solid state lamps for example, with programmed combinations of the individual illumination sources being operated to display the programmed characters. The display array includes a lens and front panel array having integrally formed lens areas. The lens areas of the lens and front panel array when unactuated are essentially indistinguishable from the front panel array background area thus providing improved contrast. The display array also includes a reflector array having integrally formed reflector cavities. The integrally formed reflector cavities include predetermined surface characteristics for collimating the light rays emanating from the central axis of the reflector cavities. The display array also includes an illumination source alignment and mounting array having integrally formed illumination source mounting arrangements and integrally formed illumination source alignment arrangements.

TL;DR: In this article, the inclination of an aluminum-based swash plate is guided by a slide guide relationship between the guide holes 251 and the to-be-guided pins 23 and upon a slide support action of the rotary shaft 18.
Abstract: A swash plate 20 made of an aluminum-based material is allowed to be inclined in the axial direction of a rotary shaft 18 and to rotate integrally with the rotary shaft 18 due to the engagement between guide holes 251 formed in the support arms 25 made of an iron-based material and heads 231 of to-be-guided pins 23 made of an iron-based material. The inclination of the swash plate 20 is guided based upon a slide guide relationship between the guide holes 251 and the to-be-guided pins 23 and upon a slide support action of the rotary shaft 18. The inclination-limiting protuberances 191 integrally formed on the rotary support member 19 made of the iron-based material come into contact with the to-be-guided pins 23. The swash plate 20 is inclined at a maximum angle in a state where the inclination-limiting protuberances 191 come into contact with the to-be-guided pins 23.
