TL;DR: In this article, a method for detecting abnormal behavior during video monitoring is presented, which consists of the following steps: a. reading a video image frame and converting it into a grayscale image; b. detecting a motion object in the grayscale image; c. tracking the motion object, determining and analyzing the motion objects; d. calculating and analyzing an interframe variation entropy value of motion object and simultaneously carrying out motion object characteristic point extraction, calculating a motion speed and a direction of the each characteristic point and calculating motion energy of the motion energy.
Abstract: The invention discloses a method for detecting an abnormal behavior during video monitoring. By using the current detection method, there is one single consideration factor and misinformation is easy to be generated. By using the method of the invention, the above problem can be solved. The method comprises the following steps: a. reading a video image frame and converting a video image into a grayscale image; b. detecting a motion object in the grayscale image; c. tracking the motion object, determining and analyzing the motion object; d. calculating and analyzing an interframe variation entropy value of the motion object and simultaneously carrying out motion object characteristic point extraction, calculating a motion speed and a direction of the each characteristic point and calculating motion energy of the motion object; e. according to the interframe variation entropy value of the motion object and the motion energy, carrying out a fighting decision, giving an alarm if there is a fight.

TL;DR: In this paper, a video decoder having means for compressing reference frame data (6) using a scalable compression method is presented. But the present method is not suitable for video streaming.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a video decoder having means for compressing reference frame data (6) using a scalable compression method. The video decoder further having buffer means (8) for intermediate storing of at least the vertical aperture (range) of motion vectors plus one row (slice) of macro blocks in lines of video per reference frame. Further it includes means for decompressing reference frame data (7) for enabling means for motion compensation (10) of said decoder to reconstruct vector predicted pictures and macro blocks utilizing said decompressed reference frame data. The present invention also relates to a method to be implemented by such a video decoder.

TL;DR: In this article, the transition between two video frames is effected by selecting a FROM frame and a TO frame, generating a stream of bidirectionally-dependent duplicator frames which vary, placing the FROM frame in the past buffer of a decoder and placing the TO frame in a future frame of the decoder.
Abstract: Transitions between two video frames are effectuated by selecting a FROM frame and a TO frame (31), generating a stream of bidirectionally-dependent duplicator frames which vary, placing the FROM frame in the past buffer of a decoder, placing the TO frame in the future frame of a decoder, feeding the stream of duplicator frames to the decoder, causing the duplicator frames to be displayed, and beginning normal playback of the video stream containing the TO frame at the TO frame position. Frame-specific access is accomplished by determining the location and type of target frame, identifying the reference frames to which the target frame directly and indirectly refers, parsing the reference frames with a decoder while the decoder's video display is suppressed, enabling the video display, and beginning normal decoder playback at the target frame location in the video bitstream. Reverse play is similar.

TL;DR: In this article, a motion vector detection circuit detects each motion vector between frame pictures of moving picture data, and compression encoding units perform compression encoding on the moving motion data in units of predetermined pictures having differently arbitrary shapes by performing motion-compensation interframe prediction using the detected motion vector in common.
Abstract: In a moving picture encoder, a motion-vector detection circuit detects each motion vector between frame pictures of moving picture data, and compression encoding units perform compression encoding on the moving picture data in units of predetermined pictures having differently arbitrary shapes by performing motion-compensation interframe prediction using the detected motion vector in common. This can greatly reduce the processing load of the entire compression encoding on a plurality of pictures obtained from a single piece of the moving picture data since the motion-vector detection circuit, on which a large processing load acts, is formed as a single unit. This structure can accelerate the compression encoding on the pictures obtained from the single piece of the moving picture data.

TL;DR: In this article, an apparatus consisting of a decode unit which receives an encoded interlaced video signal including encoded interframe motion compensation data, and a de-interlace unit which converts the inter-link video signal to a progressive video signal, and selects a region of the video signal for a different type of conversion, the selection based on the change in position of the region between successive video frames.
Abstract: An apparatus is described comprising: a decode unit which receives an encoded interlaced video signal including encoded interframe motion compensation data, and responsively transmits a decoded interlaced video signal and associated interframe motion compensation data; and a de-interlace unit which converts the interlaced video signal to a progressive video signal, and which, responsive to the interframe motion compensation data, selects a region of the interlaced video signal for a different type of conversion, the selection based on the change in position of the region between successive video frames.
