Abstract: A network system coordinates interactions among users by employing an independently operable action module (40) programmed to receive, generate, and send communications according to a structured interaction program, and an interface (41) for selectively configuring and modifying the interaction program. Such action modules (40) are used as electronic organizational actors (EOAs) of an electronic labor force for the network system. The EOAs are used to improve the productivity and efficiency of the organization by reducing or eliminating repetitive or tedious functions that need not be performed by human beings. One application for the EOAs is managing structured conversations among users and groups in the organization. The interaction parameters of the EOAs can be modified without having to reconfigure the entire network system.
