Abstract: This paper describes an internet based robotic system which can be used for surveillance purposes through developing a flexible and user friendly mobile robot controllable from anywhere using internet servers. An android controlled mobile phone mirrored via internet server to control the robot using Bluetooth as well as getting live video feed through the application have been adopted in this control system. The central focus of this work is to develop a cost efficient and user friendly nature of the surveillance robot. There has been several development in this field but with the increased use of smartphones, this paper proposes the most convenient way of having a surveillance robot. User can control the robot using the video feed from the mobile camera by operating through an app based on app inventor language. The secured server allows complete access to the android interface mobile to regulate the robot.

TL;DR: The current state of the most important Internet standards related to e-mail and the general state of proprietary e- Mail systems are summarized and a set of technologies developed to solve the complex problem of evolving from proprietary to Internet-standards-based e- mail systems are introduced.
Abstract: Electronic mail (e-mail) has become an important tool for companies to use to conduct their businesses. With the introduction of the World Wide Web, awareness of the existence of the Internet has exponentially increased over the last two years, and people are starting to realize that there is more to the Internet than just the Web. Companies are expanding their use of e-mail from internal to external. But the large set of proprietary, noninteroperable e-mail systems make this more of a trip through a jungle than a drive along the information highway. Most approaches to overcome the connectivity problems use gateways to convert between the proprietary format and the Internet standards. These conversions are lossy at best; hence, most proprietary system vendors are revamping their systems to base them on Internet standards. This paper summarizes the current state of the most important Internet standards related to e-mail and the general state of proprietary e-mail systems. It then introduces a set of technologies we developed to solve the complex problem of evolving from proprietary to Internet-standards-based e-mail systems. We have structured these technologies into Internet Messaging Frameworks.

TL;DR: A web-based Internet Java Phone (or IJPhone) which can be downloaded from the Internet and run from standard Java-compliant web browser, is proposed in this paper.
Abstract: Although a wide range of Internet telephony applications such as VocalTec's Internet Phone and Microsoft's NetMeeting has been developed to support real-time voice communication over the Internet, they are predominantly written for the Windows 95/NT platform and are not compatible with other operating systems. Moreover, most of the Internet telephony software is operated as stand-alone applications and must be downloaded and installed prior to operation. This has caused great inconvenience in using Internet telephony software. To resolve this, a web-based Internet Java Phone (or IJPhone) which can be downloaded from the Internet and run from standard Java-compliant web browser, is proposed in this paper. The IJPhone system consists of two main components: the Web-based Telephone Exchange for user connection and Internet Java Phone Applet for establishing real-time Internet voice communication. In addition, as Java applets have certain security restrictions placed on them, the paper also discusses the method proposed to overcome them.
