Abstract: An Internet system comprising a user computer connected to the Internet; a group of related, information-containing Internet sites; and means for permitting the user computer to sequentially interact with selected ones of the group of Internet sites such that each of the selected ones of the Internet sites is provided with user-specific information regarding the user computer's prior interactions with Internet sites contained within the group during any discrete Internet session.

Framework for a customizable graphics user interface

Abstract: A method and software application with a framework for customizable graphical user interfaces is disclosed. The framework is configured to simplify the task of generating application-specific, user-specific, and location-specific graphical user interfaces. The framework may be configured for execution on a specialized Internet appliance, or on a generic personal computer, or a network browser. Upon power-up or user login, the software application is configured to access a set of configuration information. The configuration information may be locked or protected to prevent user access, and may be stored locally or on a server. The application is configured to use the configuration information to generate a user interface that may have one or more of the following features: customizable icons and links, plug-ins, and persistent portals. The configuration file may include position information, size information, and linking information for one or more graphics files that are usable to generate the icons and other user interface features. The configuration file may be automatically updated from a remote server based on a predetermined update schedule and based on when the appliance is in an idle state. The updates may be generated based on historical execution data conveyed by the application to the remote server.

Abstract: A method of display as a user of the Internet uses a client machine during an Internet transaction (e.g., e-mail, file transfer, bulletin board, chat or browsing). The client machine supports a graphical user interface and mechanisms that provide such Internet services. The method locally stores information content served during idle periods when the user's connection to the network is live. During a given Internet transaction, the information content is retrieved and displayed to provide entertainment or information as the user waits for the Internet transaction to be completed.

Abstract: At first, the concept and development of Internet of Things were introduced. And then the Internet of Things architecture was described. The key technologies of Internet of Things were analyzed, including RFID technology, sensor network technology, intelligent technology, nanotechnology and cloud computing technology. At the same time, some problems in the development of Internet of Things were presented. Finally, this paper gave the future prospects of Internet of Things Technology.
