TL;DR: A case is presented of a 30-year-old, mentally retarded and epileptic patient, with a progressive hemifacial hypertrophy since birth, whose repeated biopsies revealed the neurofibromatous nature of her facial lesion.
Abstract: A case is presented of a 30-year-old, mentally retarded and epileptic patient, with a progressive hemifacial hypertrophy since birth. Repeated biopsies revealed the neurofibromatous nature of her facial lesion. Autopsy also revealed an ipsilateral hemimegalencephaly, as well as meningeal lipomas and osteomas. This combination of lesions represents an unusual variant within the spectrum of neurofibromatosis.

TL;DR: It was concluded that MR imaging is useful for diagnosing intracranial lipomas and associating anomalies and linking these tumors with no symptoms relating these tumors.
Abstract: Reported here are five patients with intracranial lipoma. Three of these had pericallosal lipoma. One patient had a lipoma in the quadrigeminal cistern. The remaining one had a lipoma in the interpeduncular cistern. All of these tumors were clearly demonstrated and were homogeneously hyperintense on T1-weighted MR images. One patient with a pericallosal lipoma had also partial agenesis of the corpus callosum. However, all patients had no symptoms relating these tumors. It was concluded that MR imaging is useful for diagnosing intracranial lipomas and associating anomalies.

TL;DR: A rare case of intracranial lipoma of the cerebral peduncle was reported and the unique capability of direct sagittal imaging makes MRI the best procedure for evaluating the midline abnormalities.
Abstract: A rare case of intracranial lipoma of the cerebral peduncle was reported. Computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of this unusual tumor are described. The unique capability of direct sagittal imaging makes MRI the best procedure for evaluating the midline abnormalities. She did not have operation because she was asymptomatic. She will be checked periodically in the outpatient clinic.
