TL;DR: In this article, a server receives from a first network node connected to the data network, advertising content to be inserted in the multimedia content associated with an event that occurs at a specific time and place, and the server receives a message, by means of a first IP-based communications management protocol, in order to establish a real-time multimedia communication using IP packets with a second node of a data network.
Abstract: Method and apparatus to transmit over a data network, advertising content inserted in multimedia content associated with an event. In one embodiment, a server receives from a first network node connected to the data network, advertising content to be inserted in the multimedia content associated with an event that occurs at a specific time and place, and the server receives a message, by means of a first IP-based communications management protocol, in order to establish a real-time multimedia communication using IP packets with a second node of the data network, and the server establishes multimedia communication with the second network node, and the server receives from the second network node, multimedia content that includes geotagging data in the form of coordinates, and the server determines that this multimedia content is associated with the event from this geotagging data in the form of coordinates, and the server creates a multimedia file that contains the advertising content and at least one part of the multimedia content, and the server transmits at least one part of the multimedia file to a third network node.

TL;DR: In this paper, a hierarchical, redundant OAM&p architecture for use in an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) is described, which includes a network operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning (OAM&P) entity for communicating with an operator's network.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for a hierarchical, redundant OAM&P architecture for use in an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) are disclosed. According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a system for managing an Internet protocol multimedia system (IMS) network. The system includes a network operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning (OAM&P) entity for communicating with an operator's network, a system OAM&P entity associated with the network OAM&P entity, and at least one message processing entity associated with the system OAM&P entity for processing signaling information and for implementing at least one application. The system OAM&P entity receives OAM&P information from one or more message processing entities and communicates at least some of the received OAM&P information to the network OAM&P entity. The network OAM&P entity receives OAM&P information from the system OAM&P entity and communicates at least some of the received OAM&P information to the operator's network.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a method and device for communicating with server in an IMS (IP multimedia subsystem) core network by using a terminal to pass through a private network as well as a network system.
Abstract: The invention embodiment provides a method and device for communicating with server in an IMS (IP multimedia subsystem) core network by using a terminal to pass through a private network as well as a network system. The method comprises: the terminal sets a source address of to-be-sent service data as a virtual IP (internet protocol) address and sets a target address as the address of a local network server so as to obtain a first service message, wherein the virtual IP address is the address distributed for the terminal by the IMS core network; the first service message is packaged as a first tunnel message, a virtual private network VPN tunnel between the terminal and a safety tunnel gateway is used for sending the first tunnel message to the safety tunnel gateway so that the safety tunnel gateway sends the first service message in the first tunnel message to the local network server. By using the technical scheme provided by the invention embodiment, the terminal can communicate with the server in the IMS core network after passing through the private network without changing an enterprise network.

TL;DR: The need for middleware support in facilitating the co-ordination of Telecom mashups is highlighted, and an architecture that provides the necessary runtime control and mediation in an IMS-based operator network is described.
Abstract: The emerging Web 2.0 marketplace presents an important opportunity for Telecom operators to sell their own capabilities and content as services. Operators have a wealth of content associated with their network as well as core network enablers, e.g. call control, presence and messaging, which could serve as potential new revenue streams in a Web 2.0 world. Moreover, with the looming threat from Internet companies, there is an increasing need for operators to make both core and value-added functions reusable and mashable. To this end, operators are gradually embracing the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and looking at developing next-generation of SIP-based applications that can be mashed up in innovative ways. However, to do so, IMS/SIP-based services need to be empowered with the necessary co-ordination capabilities required in a mashup environment. This, in turn, implies protocol-level control to be rendered to the mashup developer - an issue that has not been sufficiently addressed by the community. We highlight the need for middleware support in facilitating the co-ordination of Telecom mashups, and describe an architecture that provides the necessary runtime control and mediation in an IMS-based operator network.
