TL;DR: Feature control signaling can be transported from a handset to a network-based service platform when the handset is active on an existing call, using three-way calling and Intelligent Network (IN) (110) capabilities to pass feature control information from the user device to a NBS.
Abstract: Feature control signaling can be transported from a handset to a network-based service platform (104) when the handset is active on an existing call, using three-way calling and Intelligent Network (IN) (110) capabilities to pass feature control information from the user device to a network-based service platform (104). Although Wireless Intelligent Network (WIN) (106) standards do not support mid-call triggers (106), handset emulation of three-way-calling (3WC) behavior allows a ' handset to send a digit string (representing a particular feature-related event) to a network-based service platform (104) (in the context of a pseudo-3WC). Mid-call communications can be accom plished in this manner, allowing a network-based service platform (104) to interpret and take action based on the received digit string, prior to releasing the additional call leg associated with the pseudo-3WC attempt. WIN mechanisms (1010) can also be used to send feature control signals from a network-based service platform (104) to a handset. These mechanisms can be used to promote consistent service offerings for users who are served by networks that are comprised of different technologies. These mechanisms can also be used to help operators transition their networks to support em erging network technologies.

TL;DR: This work proposes a solution for interdomain mobility management with end-to-end service continuity of communication by combining a multihoming protocol (SHIM6), which ensures a seamless network change, with the IMS architecture, which allows the establishment of multimedia sessions with quality of service.
Abstract: Nowadays, wireless networks are largely deployed, and the number of smart phones has boomed, as well as data transfer via mobile phones. This has resulted in the emergence of multihoming, which allows the user to enjoy the best access for each application. The context of our work is mobile multihomed terminals in a heterogeneous environment. We propose a solution for interdomain mobility management with end-to-end service continuity of communication. For this purpose, we combine a multihoming protocol (SHIM6), which ensures a seamless network change, with the IMS architecture, which allows the establishment of multimedia sessions with quality of service. Our proposal enables a mobile terminal to change its access network seamlessly, without any application disruption. To achieve this, we implement a P-SIP inside the terminal to manage the signaling procedures. The proposed scheme can manage the interdomain mobility of a terminal in two modes: reactive and proactive. A testbed allows us to show the feasibility of our approach and the obtained gain by reducing considerably the handover delay and thus, the data loss.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for authenticating a subscriber MT (6) for utilizing services in a wireless LAN (WLAN) (10) while using an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) (3).
Abstract: An efficient authentication is made possible by a method for authenticating a subscriber MT (6) for utilizing services in a wireless LAN (WLAN) (10) while using an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) (3). The inventive method is characterized in that a subscriber MT (6), who is to be authenticated and who is located at a location having WLAN coverage, receives an IP address from the WLAN (10) in an attributed manner, after which the subscriber authenticates himself with regard to the IP multimedia subsystem (3) while giving this IP address. In addition, an element ((WAGW (2)) of the WLAN (10) is informed of the result of the authentication of the subscriber MT (6) with regard to the IMS (3).

TL;DR: In this paper, a calling party number anonymous service in an IP telephone service is implemented and the setting of requesting a Pool IP address along with a normal IP address to a REGISTER message directed from the IP telephone terminal to an SIP server and requests the assignment of a temporary IP address if receiving an anonymous call incoming request message.
Abstract: To implement a calling party number anonymous service in an IP telephone service. An IP telephone terminal adds the setting of requesting a Pool IP address along with a normal IP address to a REGISTER message directed from the IP telephone terminal to an SIP server and requests the assignment of a temporary IP address if receiving an anonymous call incoming request message. The SIP server makes the temporary assignment of the Pool IP address and notifies the temporary IP address to a called party IP telephone terminal by adding it to an INVITE message, if the called IP address of the anonymous call incoming request INVITE message is the IP telephone terminal. The called IP telephone terminal receiving the assignment of the temporary IP address can make the connection, communication and disconnection processes employing the temporary IP address as the self IP address in the following dialog.

TL;DR: In this article, a self-provisioning method for subscriber data is proposed to allow efficient registration of a subscriber for an Internet-Protocol Multimedia Subsystem of a telecommunication network at the subscriber database of the internet-protocol multimedia subsystem.
Abstract: A method for self-provisioning of subscriber data allows efficient registration of a subscriber for an Internet-Protocol Multimedia Subsystem of a telecommunication network at the subscriber database of the Internet-Protocol Multimedia Subsystem. A subscription entry is created in the subscriber database of the Internet-Protocol Multimedia Subsystem of a telecommunication network, based on prior secure identification of the subscriber by the access network that grants access to the Internet-Protocol Multimedia Subsystem.
