TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the kinetics of transesterification of isopropyl acetate with methanol to methyl acetate and alcohol catalyzed by Lewatit MonoPlus S100 H+ in a pressurized batch reactor.
Abstract: The kinetics of the transesterification of isopropyl acetate with methanol to methyl acetate and isopropyl alcohol catalyzed by Lewatit MonoPlus S100 H+ was studied in a pressurized batch reactor. In the temperature range 323–338 K, the temperature dependency of the equilibrium constant was found to be Ka = exp[(702/T) – 1.81]. The kinetics was expressed in terms of activities because of the nonideality of the reaction medium. The experimental data were tested with a pseudohomogeneous model and adsorption based models. The transesterification reaction was found to follow the Langmuir– Hinshelwood–Hougen–Watson mechanism and the surface reaction to be a rate-limiting step.

TL;DR: An additive for hydrocarbon motor fuels for internal combustion engines which consists of ditertiarybutyl peroxide contained in a solvent medium is discussed in this article. But the results are limited.
Abstract: An additive for hydrocarbon motor fuels for internal combustion engines which consists of ditertiarybutyl peroxide contained in a solvent medium. The solvent medium is preferably ditertiarybutyl alcohol along with a lower melting solvent, such as isopropyl alcohol, benzene, or mixtures thereof. The organic peroxide is normally present in the fuel in an amount ranging from between about 0.1 ppm. to about 1 ppm., with best results being obtained within that range.

30 Mar 2000TL;DR: In this paper, aqueous preparations in the form of two or more separated, in the idle state, whereby said phases are dispersible together, are defined and provided with an accelerated phase separation when said preparations contain at least one water-soluble, monovalent or multivalent alcohol with 2-9 C-atoms.
Abstract: The invention relates to aqueous preparations in the form of two or more separated, aqueous phases in the idle state, whereby said phases are dispersible together. The preparations have at least one surface-active compound and at least one solved polymer compound and are provided with an accelerated phase separation in the idle state when said preparations contain at least one water-soluble, monovalent or multivalent alcohol with 2-9 C-atoms. In a preferred embodiment, 2-20 wt. % of an ether sulfate or ether sulfosuccinate are contained as a surface-active substance and 2-20 wt. % of ethyl alcohol or isopropyl alcohol are contained as an alcohol. The polymer compound is preferably chosen from polypropylene glycol with molecular weights of more than 1,000 D, hydroxyethylcellulose, xanthan gum, dextrane, sodium hyaluronate or cationic cellulose ethers.
