TL;DR: The phytochemical study of AP based on AGI activity led to the isolation of four isocoumarins; agrim onolide, agrimonolide-6-O-β-d-glucopyranoside, desmethylagrimonlide, and four flavonoids; luteolin, quercetin, vitexin, and isoviteXin.
Abstract: Agrimonia pilosa L. (AP) showed potent α-glucosidase inhibitory (AGI) activity, but it is uncertain what phytochemicals play a key factor. The phytochemical study of AP based on AGI activity led to the isolation of four isocoumarins; agrimonolide (1), agrimonolide-6-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (2), desmethylagrimonolide (3), desmethylagrimonolide-6-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (4), and four flavonoids; luteolin (5), quercetin (6), vitexin (7), and isovitexin (8). The four isocoumarins were isolated as α-glucosidase inhibitors for the first time. Isocoumarins, compound 1 (agrimonolide) and 3 (desmethylagrimonolide) showed strong α-glucosidase inhibitory activities with IC50 values of 24.2 and 37.4 µM, respectively. Meanwhile, isocoumarin and flavonoid glycosides showed weak AGI activity. In the kinetic analysis, isocoumarins, compounds 1 and 3 showed non-competitive inhibition, whereas flavonoid, compound 6 showed competitive inhibition.

TL;DR: The chemical constituents of Gentiana veitchiorum were isolated by chromatography and identified by spectral data and five glycosides, loganic acid, gentiopicroside, isoorientin 3'-methyl ether, and isovitexin were isolated and identified.
Abstract: Objective To study the chemical constituents of Gentiana veitchiorum. Method The chemical constituents were isolated by chromatography and identified by spectral data. Result Five glycosides, loganic acid (1), gentiopicroside (2), isoorientin 3'-methyl ether (3), isovitexin (4), isoorientin (5) were isolated and identified. Conclusion Compounds 1-5 were isolated from this plant for the first time.

TL;DR: In this paper, the antioxidant properties of C-glycosylflavones, especially isovitexin and isoorientin, were found to be antioxidative constituents of the fruits of Boreava orientalis.
Abstract: Antioxidative activities for lipid peroxidation of C-glycosylflavones isolated from the fruits of Boreava orientalis and related compounds were studied. C-glycosylflavones, especially isovitexin and isoorientin, were found to be antioxidative constituents of the fruits of B. orientalis. The activity of isoorientin was stronger than that of isovitexin.

TL;DR: In this paper, a new apigenin derivative was isolated from leaves of Silene pratensis and identified as 7-0-(feruylglucosyl)-isovitexin.
Abstract: SUMMARY In addition to isovitexin-7-glucoside, isoorientin-7-glucoside and isovitexin, a new apigenin derivative was isolated from leaves of Silene pratensis and identified as 7-0-(feruylglucosyl)-isovitexin.

TL;DR: The contents of vitex in and isovitexin were higher in the mungbean with larger leaves and longer ripening period out of the main characters.
Abstract: In this study, the selected 789 lines having agronomic values out of over 2,500 mungbean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek) germplasms, examined the 27 characters including hypocotyl color and leaf size of 401 lines in 2005 and of 388 lines in 2006, and analyzed the contents of vitexin and isovitexin in these mungbean germplasms. The average contents of vitexin and isovitexin in mungbean of the 401 lines used in 2005 were 8.71(1.1~13.4) and 9.54(0.9~15.9) mg/g, respectively, and the correlation coefficiency (R 2 ) of the contents of vitexin and isovitexin was 0.958. Nine lines including VC3890B were selected to be the ones containing high vitexin and isovitexin. The average contents of vitexin and isovitexin in mungbean of the 388 lines used in 2006 were 10.17(2.0~15.9) and 10.64(0.2~17.6) mg/g, respectively, and the correlation coefficiency (R 2 ) of the contents of vitexin and isovitexin was 0.958. Six lines including VC4096-2B-4-B-2-B were selected to be the ones containing high vitexin and isovitexin. The contents of vitexin and isovitexin were higher in the mungbean with larger leaves and longer ripening period out of the main characters.
