TL;DR: In this article, HPLC-ESI-MS technique was used to analyze the methanol extract of the seed of Vaccaria segetalis (Necr.) Gracke, known as Wang-Bu-Liu-Xing in traditional Chinese medicine.
Abstract: In this paper, HPLC-ESI-MS technique was used to analyze the methanol extract of the seed of Vaccaria segetalis (Necr.) Gracke, known as Wang-Bu-Liu-Xing in traditional Chinese medicine. By the studies of MS and MS/MS spectra and the comparison with reference compounds, five main constituents were identified, including hypaphorine, vaccarin, isosaporarin, isovitexin 2''-O-arabinoside and vaccarin H.

TL;DR: In this article, the chemical constituents from Vitex negundo were separated and purified by column chromatography including ODS, Sephadex LH-20, and silica gel columns.
Abstract: Objective To investigate the chemical constituents from Vitex negundo. Methods The chemical constituents were separated and purified by column chromatography including ODS,Sephadex LH-20,and silica gel columns.Their structures were elucidated on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectral data. Results Eleven compounds were identified as isoorientin(1),vitegnoside(2),luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(3),isovitexin(4),luetolin-3′-O-β-D-glucuronide(5),apigenin-7-O-β-D-glucoside(6),kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(7),methyl rosmarinate(8),5-O-caffeoyl quinic acid methylester(9),caffeic acid(10),and grevilloside G(11),respectively.Conclusion Compounds 3 and 4 are isolated from V.negundo for the first time, and compounds 5—11 are firstly obtained from the plants of Vitex Linn.

TL;DR: In this paper, an anti-inflammatory effective part of a leaf of Santalum album L. is described, which comprises vitexin, isovitic acid, and orientin.
Abstract: The invention relates to an anti-inflammatory effective part of a leaf of Santalum album L.. The anti-inflammatory effective part comprises vitexin, isovitexin and orientin, and the content of the vitexin, the isovitexin and the orientin in the effective part is not less than 80%. The invention further provides a preparation method and application of the anti-inflammatory effective part of the leaf of Santalum album L.. The anti-inflammatory effective part of the leaf of Santalum album L. is clear in chemical components and the content of the known components exceeds 80%; systematic anti-inflammatory experiments show that the effective part is effective in treatment of acute inflammation.

TL;DR: In this paper, a qualitative analysis of 15 flavonoids in showy tick trefoil [Desmodium canadense (L.) DC., Fabaceae] herbs collected in various vegetative phases at the Department of Medicinal Herbs of the Kaunas Botanical Garden (Vytautas Magnus University) was performed using HPLC techniques.
Abstract: Quantitative and qualitative analysis of flavonoids in showy tick trefoil [Desmodium canadense (L.) DC., Fabaceae] herbs collected in various vegetative phases at the Department of Medicinal Herbs of the Kaunas Botanical Garden (Vytautas Magnus University) was performed using HPLC techniques. A total of 15 flavonoids were identified as aglycons and glycosides including apigenin, apigenin-7-O-glycoside, luteolin, rutin, vicenin-2, vitexin, isovitexin, vitexin rhamnoside, orientin, homoorientin, quercitrin, quercetin, hyperoside, astragalin, and kaempferol. The maximum amount of identified flavonoids (13573.83 μg/g) was observed at the budding stage. Among these flavonoids, orientin and homoorientin (6236.24 μg/g), vicenin-2 (2040.25 μg/g), vitexin (1717.12 μg/g), isovitexin (1767.82 μg/g), and rutin (925.72 μg/g) predominated.
