TL;DR: In this article, a process for producing fine particles with a high aspect ratio and/or a low specific surface area by means of jet mill is described. But this process requires the use of an alkaline grinding aid to the grinding gas before it is fed into the grinding chamber of the jet mill.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing fine particles with a high aspect ratio and/or a low specific surface area by means of jet mills, wherein an alkaline grinding aid is added to the grinding gas before it is fed into the grinding chamber of the jet mill. The invention relates to the micronisation of particles of layered structure material having an interplanar distance ranging from 0.30 to 0.40 nm as measured by X-ray diffraction method.

TL;DR: In this paper, a slurry is manufactured by re-pulverizing with a jet mill all or a portion of abrasive grains which have been pulverized with either a roller mill or a ball mill.
Abstract: The present invention is a slurry manufacturing method whereby a slurry is manufactured by re-pulverizing with a jet mill all or a portion of abrasive grains which have been pulverized with either a roller mill or a ball mill to achieve an average roundness of the abrasive grains of 0.900 or greater and mixing the abrasive grains with 0.900 or greater average roundness with a coolant, and a slurry wherein the average roundness of the abrasive grains mixed in the slurry is 0.900 or greater. It is thus possible in slicing work with a wire saw, even when using abrasive grains with a narrower grain diameter than grit size #2000 for minimizing Kerf Loss, to alleviate cost increases arising from slicing performance declines arising from declining abrasive grain concentration, or from degraded slicing quality or declining productivity.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed to improve corrosion resistance, prevent magnetic property from deteriorating, and reduce the cost by setting oxygen among the constituents of a magnet to 0.6-0.6wt.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve corrosion resistance, prevent magnetic property from deteriorating, and reduce the cost, by setting oxygen among the constituents of a magnet to 0.6wt.% or higher, carbon to 0.05-0.15wt.%, and nitrogen to a maximum of 0.15wt.% or higher. CONSTITUTION: The ingot cast is made by a vacuum induction melting an alloy material and is further turned into powder. The inclusion of oxygen in the alloy is achieved by controlling air of a jet mill, and powder is mixed in air. Nitrogen is similarly added by the jet mill. Carbon is added during melting. An alloy powder is subjected to cold isostatic compression for forming a cold compression molding, and the molding is baked in a vacuum oven, thus improving stability at high temperature and high humidity and improving corrosion resistance, reducing the deterioration of a magnetic property, and manufacturing a permanent magnetic easily.

10 Feb 2017TL;DR: In this article, a method for producing aluminum nitride is disclosed, which includes injecting a nitrogen-containing gas and a pure aluminum material into a high-temperature jet mill.
Abstract: A method for producing aluminum nitride is to disclose, which includes injecting a nitrogen-containing gas and a pure aluminum material into a high-temperature jet mill. In the high-temperature jet mill, the injected pure aluminum material reacts with the nitrogen and forms aluminum nitride on the surface. The aluminum nitride is continuously to pulverize in the high-temperature jet mill to form fine aluminum nitride powder. According to the present disclosure, unnecessary cost and complicated processes in elevated-temperature agglomeration is to avoid.

TL;DR: In this article, a powder grinding system consisting of a control device, a feed bin, a powder delivery device, an organic coating agent delivery device and a jet mill is described, and a control module is utilized to automatically regulate the charging flow of the feeding steam, the grinding steam and the organic coating agents on the basis of the powder blanking amount.
Abstract: The invention discloses a powder grinding system and method The powder grinding system comprises a control device, a feed bin, a powder delivery device, a feeding steam delivery device, a grinding steam delivery device, an organic coating agent delivery device and a jet mill According to the system, the blanking amount, the mass ratio of feeding steam and the powder blanking amount, the mass ratio of an organic coating agent and the powder blanking amount and the mass difference of the feeding steam and grinding steam are input through an input module, and a control module is utilized to automatically regulate the charging flow of the feeding steam, the grinding steam and the organic coating agent on the basis of the powder blanking amount, so that automatic feeding of the jet mill is realized, the feed rate of the jet mill is stable, and the pressure difference of the feed bin is small Therefore, the jet mill of the system is high in feeding stability and long in service life, and moreover, a prepared fine powder material is high in yield and quality and low in production cost
