TL;DR: All the phytohormones, except ABA, improved the vegetative growth and seed yield at harvest, compared with those sprayed with deionised water (control), and the order of response to various hormones was HBR > GA3 > IAA > KIN > control > ABA.
Abstract: The leaves of 30-d-old plants of Brassica juncea Czern & Coss cv. Varuna were sprayed with 10−6 M aqueous solutions of indole-3-yl-acetic acid (IAA), gibberellic acid (GA3), kinetin (KIN), and abscisic acid (ABA) or 10−8 M of 28-homobrassinolide (HBR). All the phytohormones, except ABA, improved the vegetative growth and seed yield at harvest, compared with those sprayed with deionised water (control). HBR was most prominent in its effect, generating 32, 30, 36, 70, 25, and 29 % higher values for dry mass, chlorophyll content, carbonic anhydrase (E.C. 4.2.1.1) activity, and net photosynthetic rate in 60-d-old plants, pods per plant, and seed yield at harvest, over the control, respectively. The order of response to various hormones was HBR > GA3 > IAA > KIN > control > ABA.

TL;DR: In plant tissue culture, growth regulator has significant roles such as to control root and shoot development in the plant formation and callus induction and the existence of a certain growth regulating substances can enhance growth regulator activity of other substances.
Abstract: The Role of Growth Regulator in Tissue Culture Plant Propagation. Endang G. Lestari. In plant tissue culture, growth regulator has significant roles such as to control root and shoot development in the plant formation and callus induction. Cytokinin and auxin are two prominent growth regulator. Cytokinin consists of BA (benzil adenin), kinetin (furfuril amino purin), 2-Ip (dimethyl allyl amino purin), and zeatin. While auksin covers IAA (indone acetic acid), NAA (napthalene acetic acid), IBA (indole butiric acid) 2.4-D (2.4- dicholophenoxy acetic acid), dicamba (3,6 dicloro-O-anisic acid), and picloram (4-amino 3,5,6-tricloropicolinic acid). The emphasis of plant growth purposes decide the use of growth regulator. Cytokinin is applied mainly for the purpose of shoot, while auxin is mainly used for the purpose of root and callus. The application of growth regulator application is varied, depending on the genotype and physiological condition of the plant. The existence of a certain growth regulating substances can enhance growth regulator activity of other substances. The type and concentration of the appropriate growth regulators for each plant is not the same because it depends on the genotype and physiological condition of plant tissue. However so often both are frequently required depend on the ratio/ratio of auxin cytokines or vice versa. The existence of a certain growth regulating substances can enhance growth regulator activity of other substances. The type and concentration of the appropriate growth regulators for each plant is not the same because it depends on the genotype and physiological condition of plant tissue. For the propagation, multiple and adventive shoots along with embriosomatic formation could be applied. The seedling is obtained from one somatic cell. Here, strong auxin, such as dicamba and picloram 2.4-D, is utilized for callus production. For this reason, seedling per unit could be produced more than that of organogenesis.

TL;DR: Kinetin interacts with light in the promotion of the germination of Grand Rapids lettuce seeds and shows a maximum sensitivity to kinetin between the fifth and seventh hours after the beginning of imbibition.
Abstract: Kinetin interacts with light in the promotion of the germination of Grand Rapids lettuce seeds In the dark, there is only a slight stimulating effect The optimal condition for the study of this interaction was the use of very small quantities of light given after 7 hours of soaking Kinetin modified neither the germination rate of the seeds nor the general time course of germination Kinetin was given as late as 8 hours after illumination and still showed the maximum interaction with light The seeds showed a maximum sensitivity to kinetin between the fifth and seventh hours after the beginning of imbibition At this moment of the time course, a soaking of 5 minutes in kinetin is sufficient to induce the interaction with light The contradictory results found previously on the action of kinetin on seeds soaked in the dark are due to the different photosensitivity of the seed lots

TL;DR: In hypocotyl segments of mung bean seedlings, exogenously supplied indoleacetic acid was rapidly conjugated mainly into indoleacetylaspartic acid, which was inactive in inducing ethylene production.
Abstract: In hypocotyl segments of mung bean (Phaseolus mungo L.) seedlings, exogenously supplied indoleacetic acid was rapidly conjugated mainly into indoleacetylaspartic acid, which was inactive in inducing ethylene production. Kinetin is known to stimulate indoleacetic acid-induced ethylene production. The mechanism of kinetin action on indoleacetic acid-induced ethylene production by hypocotyl segments of mung bean seedlings was studied in relation to indoleacetic acid uptake and indoleacetic acid metabolism. Kinetin enhanced indoleacetic acid uptake during the initial 2-hour incubation and markedly suppressed the conversion of indoleacetic acid to indoleacetic acid conjugates throughout the whole 7-hour incubation. As a result, there was more free indoleacetic acid and less conjugated indoleacetic acid in the segments treated with kinetin than in those receiving no kinetin. A close relationship was demonstrated between the rate of ethylene production and the level of free indoleacetic acid, which was regulated by kinetin.
