TL;DR: The frequency range from 1 to 100 GHz is the most commonly used frequency band for mmWave systems as mentioned in this paper, where the frequency bands are L band, 1.0-2.6 GHz; S band, 2.60-3.95 GHz; C band, 4.90-7.05 GHz; X band, 8.20-12.40 GHz; Ku band, 15.3-18.0 GHz; and K band, 18.0−26.50 GHz.
Abstract: Microwave systems typically operate in the frequency range from 1 to 100 GHz. Some of the commonly used frequency bands are L band, 1.0–2.6 GHz; S band, 2.60–3.95 GHz; C band, 4.90–7.05 GHz; X band, 8.20–12.40 GHz; Ku band, 15.3–18.0 GHz, and K band, 18.0–26.50 GHz. At X band the wavelength is about 3 cm and above 30 GHz the wavelengths enter the millimeter range.

TL;DR: In this paper, a likelihood function for severe damage ratio on the basis of dataset from JERS-1/SAR (L-band SAR) images observed the 1995 Kobe earthquake and its detailed ground truth data is proposed.
Abstract: In order to expand the existing C-band SAR based damage estimation model into L-band SAR, this paper rebuilds a likelihood function for severe damage ratio on the basis of dataset from JERS-1/SAR (L-band SAR) images observed the 1995 Kobe earthquake and its detailed ground truth data. The model which integrates the fragility functions of building damage in terms of seismic intensity and proposed likelihood function is then applied to PALSAR (L-band SAR) images taken over the areas affected by the 2007 Pisco, Peru, and the 2008 Sichuan, China, earthquakes.

TL;DR: A novel design of a microwave power detection module for L-band used in satellite communication is proposed, which covers the frequency from 900MHz to 2200MHz and the frequency resolution is 5MHz.
Abstract: Microwave power measurement has an important academic and commercial value in many areas such as radar, remote sensing of environment and satellite communication. In view of L-band used in satellite communication, this paper proposes a novel design of a microwave power detection module. The power detecting range is from -60dBm to -20dBm, and covers the frequency from 900MHz to 2200MHz. The frequency resolution is 5MHz.

TL;DR: The operational pattern of the messages sent through the transmitter was finally observed alongside the attenuation observed at the receiver, and the behavior of radio propagation within the L frequency band (1-2GHz) was successful.
Abstract: This paper presents an approach to designing and construction a monofrequency transmitter and monofrequency receiver at L band frequency range of 1.1GHz and the transmitting power is 5watts. The is aimed at instituting monofrequency transmitter and monofrequency receiver at L band for Laboratory uses and to investigate the behavior of radio propagation within the L frequency band (1-2GHz) was successful. The operational pattern of the messages sent through the transmitter was finally observed alongside the attenuation observed at the receiver.
