TL;DR: In this paper, a band removal filter with a dielectric resonator is used to remove only the first frequency band in a DAB (digital audio broadcasting) in series to the band III reception circuit.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple plural band receiver which does not use a switch and whose characteristic is good by providing a band pass filter, where only a first frequency band is made to pass through and a band removal filter which removes only the first frequency band. SOLUTION: A parallel resonance circuit (band removal filter) 12 formed of the parallel connection of a capacitor and a coil is inserted between an antenna input terminal 10 and a band III reception circuit in DAB(digital audio broadcasting) in series to the band III reception circuit. The resonance frequency of the parallel resonance circuit 12 is 1.5 GHz of an L band, and impedance becomes maximum with respect to the L band to inhibit the passage. A band pass filter 14 having a dielectric resonator is inserted between the antenna input terminal 10 and an L band reception circuit. Only the signal of the L band passes through the band pass filter 14 and is supplied to the L band reception circuit.

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-port resonator design incorporated into a basic feedback oscillator configuration was evaluated and showed state-of-the-art, close-to-carrier phase noise performance.
Abstract: Dielectric resonator oscillators operating at 1.5 and 2.0 GHz, based on a two-port resonator design incorporated into a basic feedback oscillator configuration were evaluated and show state-of-the-art, close-to-carrier phase noise performance. Typically, at 1 KHz carrier offset frequency the single sideband phase noise levels were -130 dBc/Hz and -120 dBc/Hz for the 1.5 GHz and 2.0 GHz oscillators, respectively. Vibration sensitivity was also investigated and the resonators show fractional frequency changes per g in the range of 10/sup -7/ to 10/sup -9/ for the 1.5 GHz and 2.0 GHz designs, respectively.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a system consisting of a signal source for an optical signal having spectrally separated channels distributed within a first spectral band and a second spectral band.
Abstract: A monitoring system has the capability to monitor multiple signal bands simultaneously. Specifically, in one embodiment, the monitoring system can simultaneously monitor the C- and L-bands. As a result, the time to scan through the spectral band can be reduced by half. The system comprises a signal source for an optical signal having spectrally separated channels distributed within a first spectral band and a second spectral band. A tunable filter filters this optical signal. A dichroic filter separates the first spectral band from the second spectral band in the optical signal, which has been filtered by the tunable filter. Thereafter, first and second optical detectors detect the respective spectral bands to the filtered optical signal.
