TL;DR: In this article, an output-only continuous-scan laser Doppler vibrometry (CSLDV) method was proposed to identify the shape of wind turbines with an unmeasured, broadband random input.

TL;DR: In this article, a comparative study between accelerometer and laser vibrometer measurements aimed at on-line quality control carried out on the universal motors used in washing machines, which exhibit defects localised mainly in the bearings, including faults in the cage, in the rolling element and in the outer and inner ring.

Abstract: This work describes the development of an optical sensor for measurement of vibration without contact. The realized vibrometer is based on real-time digital elaboration of the signal obtained by a self-mixing interferometer, with an embedded autofocus system. Two different algorithms are implemented, for the continuous working on diffusive surfaces, with different levels of optical reflectivity. Thanks to the autofocus and the digital processing, the proposed sensor is easy to use and requires no assistance of a skilled operator.

TL;DR: When a double- or multi-heterostructure GaAlAs laser is irradiated by its own output laser beam, an oscillatory shift of about 25 MHz is observed in the electric conductivity of the laser.

TL;DR: In this article, a force-vibration set-up, including a laser vibrometer system, is employed to measure the dynamic behaviour of the T-beam and the Modal Strain Energy Damage Index algorithm is applied using the bending and torsion modes.
