TL;DR: In this article, 120 white leghorn chickens were divided into three equal groups of 8 weeks of age and vaccinated with a live mesogenic ND vaccine (NDV), one group received only Newcastle disease mesogenic vaccine (RDVK) in normal saline, the second group received RDVK with groundnut oil as adjuvant and the third group received FDV with liquid paraffin as adjuvvant.

Abstract: TECHNIQUE. The usual cultural methods were used?growth on various liquid and solid media at room and incubator temperature under aerobic and anaerobic conditions, etc. In addition, methods employed in botanical research were used, such as the Van Tieghem cell, Wolbach's agar slides, and liquid paraffin cells. The Van Tieghem cell consists of a hollow cylinder of glass a centimeter in height and diameter. The edges may be ground to secure firm union with glass slide and cover-slip which complete the cell. The glass ring and cylinder are cemented to a slide, and liquid media or distilled water are filled in to about one-third the height of the cylinder. A cover-slip is prepared as in a hanging-drop preparation and inverted over the upright cylinder. It may be fixed with paraffin or balsam. The purpose of the preparation is to afford means of watching day by day, for a period varying at the will of the investigator, the growth and development of an individual cell or group of cells. If the hanging-drop be broth, media of the same density should cover the bottom of the cell. If it be agar, distilled water should be used. By diffusion the inoculated portion remains constant in concentration, evaporation and absorption going on equally. * Received for publication December 10, 1906. 1 Jour. Infect. TL;DR: A wax-based binder for powder metallurgy is described in this article, which consists of the following components by mass percent: 60 to 80 percent of solid paraffin, 3 to 10 percent of liquid paraffIN, 1 to 10% of naphthalene, 2 to 9 percent of polyethylene vinyl acetate, 4 to 15% of polyolefin and 1.5% of stearic acid.
Abstract: The invention provides a wax-based binder for a compacting process in powder metallurgy as well as a preparation method and an application thereof. The binder consists of the following components by mass percent: 60 to 80 percent of solid paraffin, 3 to 10 percent of liquid paraffin, 1 to 10 percent of naphthalene, 2 to 9 percent of polyethylene vinyl acetate, 4 to 15 percent of polyolefin and 1 to 10 percent of stearic acid. The components of the binder are good in compatibility, the rheological property is good, the solvent degreasing rate is high, the retraction property is moderate, the degreasing blank is few in flaws, and the conformality is good; the binder also has the characteristics of cleanliness, low residue, little pollution and the like.

TL;DR: Possibility of tumor detection has been demonstrated by using the higher frequency model of CP-MCT and the non-homogeneous breast phantom to simulate permittivity of the real breasts in addition to the shape and size.
Abstract: Phantom model of the breast which has actual shape and size has been developed for evaluation of microwave imaging by Chirp Pulse Microwave Computed Tomography (CP-MCT). This phantom model will also be successfully used for hyperthermia experiments using microwaves. This phantom model is consisted of four kinds of tissue mimicking materials, that is, the skin-, breast fat-, muscle-, and tumor-simulators. The principal ingredients of the phantom are water, liquid paraffin, super stuff (TX-150), sugar, and salt. It is easy to simulate permittivity of the real breasts in addition to the shape and size. This is the advantage of this non-homogeneous phantom. CP-MCT is a modality for microwave imaging of a human body using chirp pulse microwaves to extract the component which transmits the straight path between two antennas. Possibility of tumor detection by CP-MCT has been demonstrated by using the higher frequency model of CP-MCT and the non-homogeneous breast phantom.
