Abstract: This paper provides a way for lossless Compression of Color Images through lexical permutation sorting (LPS) and Greedy Sequential Grammar Transform based compression. The proposed model adopts the advantages of lexical permutation sorting for Color Images to produce a permuted data. Greedy Sequential Grammar Transform based compression, which is basically a text compression technique can now be applied easily on that permuted data. For comparison, we have taken Inversion Coding of Burrows Wheeler Compression (BWIC), and Burrows Wheeler Compression (BWC) and the model proposed in ICCIT 2006( on a paper named dasiaA New Approach for Lossless Compression of JPEG and GIF Files Using Bit Reduction and Greedy Sequential Grammar Transformpsila ).

TL;DR: An error concealment algorithm for motion JPEG 2000 (Joint Picture Expert Group 2000) is proposed, which reconstructs the totally corrupted low-frequency subband and shows that the recovered frame can yield high subjective quality.
Abstract: An error concealment algorithm for motion JPEG 2000 (Joint Picture Expert Group 2000) is proposed. It reconstructs the totally corrupted low-frequency subband. First, the edge map of the image is achieved according to a well-defined procedure. Based on the features of the human visual system, motion compensation or replacement is then applied to recover the lost information. Simulation results indicate that the recovered frame can yield high subjective quality.

TL;DR: A new approach to the approximation of Modified Integer Cosine Transform (MICT) without multiplication will be introduced and an application of this method in JPEG standard for a compression of images is analysed and discussed.
Abstract: In this paper a new approach to the approximation of Modified Integer Cosine Transform (MICT) without multiplication will be introduced. An application of this method in JPEG standard for a compression of images is analysed and discussed. An error analysis of the approximation shows very good results. Nevertheless, an accuracy of the algorithm vs. speed can be very easily optimised. Combination of standard JPEG and JPEG based on proposed algorithm has been analysed. An example at the end of this paper shows practical experience with the method.

01 Aug 2015TL;DR: Experiments prove that the proposed algorithm based on Huffman coding and dictionary coding is more practical than the traditional LZW compression algorithm for the data compression with special structure and has an improved compression ratio and a strong sense of confidentiality.
Abstract: Traditional lossless compression algorithms have some limitations to compress the data with special data structure. For fixed-length data compression of special industries, an algorithm was proposed based on Huffman coding and dictionary coding. The proposed algorithm uses an iterative approach to explore the repeated signature of the character strings. The compression dictionary was obtained and the data were compressed and transferred safely. Experiments prove that the proposed algorithm is more practical than the traditional LZW compression algorithm for the data compression with special structure. It has an improved compression ratio and a strong sense of confidentiality.
