TL;DR: In this paper, a transformerless generation of HVDC is described, where the installation comprises rotating high-voltage single-winding/multiple-witching machines and converters.
Abstract: The present invention relates to installations for transformerless generation of HVDC and wherein the installation comprises rotating high-voltage single-winding/multiple-winding machines and converters. The single-winding/multiple-winding machine comprises a magnetic circuit with one or more magnetic cores and one or more windings, phase-shifted in space, which comprise a cable with one or more current-carrying conductors (2), each conductor comprising a number of strands, around each strand there being arranged an inner semiconducting layer (3), around which is arranged an insulating layer (4) of solid insulation, around which is arranged an outer semiconducting layer (5).

TL;DR: In this paper, the frequency dependent characteristics of a gapped toroidal structure are extracted empirically over a bandwidth that exceeds 30 MHz, due to non-linear flux distributions, magnetic properties of the core material, leakage inductance, stray capacitances and eddy currents in the windings.
Abstract: The frequency dependent characteristics of a gapped toroidal structure are extracted empirically over a bandwidth that exceeds 30 MHz. The analysis is complicated due to non-linear flux distributions, magnetic properties of the core material, leakage inductance, stray capacitances and eddy currents in the windings. A permeance model of the core is implemented to model the magnetic circuit. The model includes a linear lumped element equivalent circuit to approximate the non-linear complex permeability of the core, which was measured empirically. Stray capacitance and inductance of the winding are also modeled. A gyrator is used to couple the electric and magnetic models for circuit simulation. The measured and simulated results of open-circuit impedance from the secondary winding and the transimpedance gain (V/A) of the current sensor are compared and discussed

TL;DR: In this paper, a high gauss permanent magnet unit, requiring no servicing or external power, mounts on the exterior surface of the fuel lines for establishing a flux path encompassing substantially the entire flow path.
Abstract: For disproportionately improving fuel combustion efficiency and decreasing pollutants produced in combustion the flow of fuel is treated in a fuel line preceding a combustion device by means of retrofit permanent magnetic structure. Thus, a high gauss permanent magnet unit, requiring no servicing or external power, mounts on the exterior surface of the fuel lines for establishing a flux path encompassing substantially the entire flow path. The flux is critically directed with a south magnetic pole in the downstream direction of fuel flow. Even more effectiveness results from mounting units in diametrically opposed pairs. The units have a pair of alnico magnetic plates straddling an arc on the pipe surface to focus the magnetic flux into a preferred pattern into the fluid flow path. By blending two permanent magnetic circuit paths from different permanent magnetic materials offering different advantages, a multi-pole, multi-axial magnetic flux generator uniquely distributes and concentrates the magnetic forces for maximum life while encountering vibration, shock and heat such as encountered when mounted on an automobile engine. Standard units fit different diameter fuel lines to provide very high fluid treatment flux concentrations over the entire fuel flow area and additionally have long life in the presence of magnetic interference or electrical shock.

TL;DR: In this article, a tuned oscillator is disclosed which comprises an active element, a resonator electrically connected to the active element and made of a magnetic material using ferro-magnetic resonance phenomenon, and a magnetic circuit for applying a magnetic field to the resonator.
Abstract: A tuned oscillator is disclosed which comprises an active element, a resonator electrically connected to the active element and made of a magnetic material using ferro-magnetic resonance phenomenon, and a magnetic circuit for applying a magnetic field to the resonator. The resonator is made of an YIG (yttrium, iron and garnet) thin film magnetic resonance element formed by a thin film forming technique and utilizes an uniform mode ferro-magnetic resonance in the YIG thin film, and operating under the application of magnetic field of the magnetic circuit.
