TL;DR: In this paper, a power magnetic core has one or more windings for transmitting power, and two windings are looped around features of the core so as to cancel the effect of magnetic flux circulating in the core as a result of currents flowing through the windings.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting a signal through a power magnetic structure. A power magnetic core has one or more windings for transmitting power, and two windings for transmitting a signal or auxiliary power. The signal or auxiliary power windings are looped around features of the core so as to cancel the effect of magnetic flux circulating in the core as a result of currents flowing through the one or more power windings.

Abstract: This paper presents the effects of the joint method in the T-joint of three-phase transformer cores on iron losses. The effects of joints on the decrease of core loss have been analyzed by using FEM with E&S model, considering the hysteresis of vector magnetic properties. As a result, we can improve the T-joint part constructions to reduce iron losses in the three-phase transformer cores.

TL;DR: In this paper, measured results for two microfabricated inductors (magnetic core and air core), which have been designed to operate at 20 MHz and occupy a substrate area of less than 10 mm2.
Abstract: What is the future of integrated inductor design on silicon for power conversion applications at frequencies up to 100 MHz-is it magnetic-core or air-core inductors. This study presents measured results for two microfabricated inductors (magnetic core and air core), which have been designed to operate at 20 MHz and occupy a substrate area of less than 10 mm2. The inductor technology and design are briefly discussed. An optimized inductor design study is, then, presented. Both magnetic-core and air-core inductor designs are compared and evaluated, in terms of inductance and efficiency per unit area for frequencies up to 100 MHz. The design of the microinductors is discussed and an analytical design optimization program is used to model the devices for the maximum efficiency and inductance. The introduction of laminations with high-frequency core inductors will also be examined within the study. A 100 MHz magnetic-core inductor design with three laminations gives a 36 nH inductance, with 96.4% efficiency and an area of 3 mm2 . A comparable air-core design also gives a 36 nH inductance, with 93.45% efficiency and an area of just 2.6 mm2.

TL;DR: An experimental large-signal characterization procedure for power inductors in electric vehicle applications and a method to obtain an inductance reference value for the power inductor in dc-dc converters' simulation studies are presented.
Abstract: This paper is focused on core size optimization of power inductors in bidirectional dc–dc converters. It presents an experimental large-signal characterization procedure for power inductors in electric vehicle applications and a method to obtain an inductance reference value for the power inductor in dc–dc converters' simulation studies. It discusses the importance of the inductor design project by describing important constraints such as core size and saturation. The main contribution of this paper is related to the proposed dc flux cancelation technique in the bidirectional converter. A variable inductor prototype is used to replace the power inductor in order to decrease core size by improving the ripple content of the inductor current. The saturation level of the core is controlled by means of an auxiliary winding whether the converter operates in buck or boost mode. Experimental results validate the proposed methodology showing more than 50% reduction in magnetic material for similar current levels.

TL;DR: The results showed that linuron was adsorbed rapidly by Fe3O4@SiO2@[OMIM]PF6 and eluanted by ethanol, and under the optimal conditions, preconcentration factor of the proposed method was 10-fold.
Abstract: Three hydrophobic ionic liquids (ILs) including 1-butyl-3-methylimidazole hexafluorophosphate ([BMIM]PF6), 1-hexyl-3-methyl-imidazole hexafluorophosphate ([HMIM]PF6), and 1-octyl-3-methylimidazole hexafluoro-phosphate ([OMIM]PF6) coated Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles with core-shell structure to prepare magnetic solid phase extraction agent (Fe3O4@SiO2@ILs) and establish a new method of magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) coupled with UV spectrometry for separation/analysis of linuron. The results showed that linuron was adsorbed rapidly by Fe3O4@SiO2@[OMIM]PF6 and eluanted by ethanol. Under the optimal conditions, preconcentration factor of the proposed method was 10-fold. The linear range, detection limit, correlation coefficient (R) and relative standard deviation (RSD) were found to be 0.04-20.00 μg mL(-1), 5.0 ng mL(-1), 0.9993 and 2.8% (n=3, c=4.00 μg mL(-1)), respectively. The Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles could be used repeatedly for 10 times. This proposed method has been successfully applied to the determination of linuron in food samples.
