TL;DR: In this paper, a novel type of magnetoresistance oscillation is observed in a two-dimensional electron gas in a high mobility GaAs-AlGaAs heterostructure with a holographically induced lateral periodic modulation in one direction.
Abstract: A novel type of magnetoresistance oscillation is observed in a two-dimensional electron gas in a high mobility GaAs-AlGaAs heterostructure with a holographically induced lateral periodic modulation in one direction The modulation arises due to the persistent photoconductivity of the samples at low temperatures The experiments show that the 1/B periodicity of the additional oscillations is determined by the carrier density N s and the period a of the grating, reflecting the commensurability of cyclotron diameter and modulation period The key to the explanation of the novel magnetotransport oscillations is an oscillatory linewidth of the modulation broadened Landau bands To demonstrate this we have performed magnetocapacitace measurements in order to obtain direct information about the density of states of the modulated two-dimensional electron gas

TL;DR: In this article, the bulk conductivity of two-dimensional electron gas in GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructure in the quantum Hall regime was investigated by the magnetocapacitance measurement with Corbino geometry sample.
Abstract: We have investigated the bulk conductivity (σxx) of two-dimensional electron gas in GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructure in the quantum Hall regime by the magnetocapacitance measurement with Corbino geometry sample. The σxx at the Hall plateau down to 10−11 S is measured, and the temperature dependence of σxx is discussed. The experimental characteristics of the capacitance measurement is also discussed.

TL;DR: In this article, the sign inversion phenomenon of tunnel magnetocapacitance was observed with frequency modulation and dc voltage application to MgO-based MTJ at room temperature.
Abstract: Tunnel magnetocapacitance (TMC) in magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) has recently attracted interest due to unique properties, such as large magnetic response, thermal stability, and robustness to the bias voltage. In this Letter, we report the sign inversion phenomenon of TMC observed with frequency modulation and dc voltage application to MgO-based MTJs at room temperature. A negative TMC is observed in the frequency region of about kHz due to the appearance of spin capacitance. By applying a dc voltage (a few hundred mV) in this frequency region, the spin flip is promoted in the parallel configuration of MTJs. This results in the observation of the sign inversion of TMC from negative to positive. These physical pictures can be well explained by the calculation based on the modified Debye-Frohlich model. Our research offers a deeper understanding of AC spin transports, DC spin accumulation, equilibrium and non-equilibrium spin dynamics.
