TL;DR: In this article, a 1.0-M sulfuric acid solution containing different concentrations of 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-oxoethyl benzoate (CPOB) was used to investigate the corrosion behavior and hydrogen evolution reaction of weld aged maraging steel.

••
TL;DR: A phenomenological description of the precipitation controlled hardening of a new biodegradable Fe-based alloy developed to fulfill the requirements of temporary implant applications is presented in this article, where three distinct regions of the hardening kinetics are recognized and closely correlated to the evolution of the alloy microstructure.

••
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of scan speed, porosity and microstructure on the mechanical properties and fatigue strength of sintered laser samples were investigated in a steel AISI 18Ni300.

••
TL;DR: A 35MnSiCrNiAlMo bainitic steel whose mechanical properties approached those of 140-maraging steel was developed in this paper, where the steel was continuously cooled from a temperature slightly higher than its martensite start temperature (Ms) to Ms−−20°C at a cooling rate of 0.5°Cmin−1, after which the overall mechanical properties were better than those of austempered samples at any constant temperature.

••
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of 5-(3-aminophenyl)-tetrazole (APTA) on the inhibition of steel corrosion has been investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), potentiodynamic polarization and scanning electron microscope (SEM) along with energy dispersive X-ray analyzer (EDX) investigations.
