TL;DR: In this paper, the contribution of magnetic charges in the generalized Smarr mass formula was taken into account by using the Tomimatsu's representation of Komar integrals, and it was shown that the sum of the two electromagnetic terms in Smarr's formula can be cast into the form of a complex charge and a complex extension of the electric potential.
Abstract: The present paper clarifies how to consistently take into account the contribution of magnetic charges in the generalized Smarr mass formula by using properly the Tomimatsu's representation of Komar integrals. It is shown in particular that in all three examples of the dyonic solutions considered by us, the sum of the two electromagnetic terms in Smarr's formula can be cast into the form $\bar{\cal Q}\Phi^H_{ext}$, where ${\cal Q}$ is the complex charge and $\Phi^H_{ext}$ the complex extension of the electric potential.

TL;DR: In this article, it is shown that these quadratic divergences vanish if a certain mass relation is satisfied, and the relation is linear in the squares of all the masses of the theory.
Abstract: One of the major differences between electroweak theory and the better understood quantum electrodynamics is the appearance of quadratic divergences. We discuss this issue using point-splitting regularization. It is shown that these quadratic divergences vanish if a certain mass relation is satisfied. The relation is linear in the squares of all the masses of the theory.

TL;DR: In this article, a new mass formula is presented which has a form different from those so far proposed, and the production mechanism of mesons is described in detail in § 4.
Abstract: In the present paper a new mass formula is presented which has a form different from those so far proposed. After giving experimental data and pheno menological rules which suggest a composite structure of hadrons in § 2, we shall derive the mass formula and discuss its physical implications in § 3:. As an ap plication of the mass formula, the production mechanism· of mesons will be de scribed in § 4.

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the Kaehler manifold of Wess-Zumino supergravity is the noncompact coset space SU(N, 1)/(SU(N) x U(1)) and the kaehler metric is an Einstein metric.
Abstract: It is shown that the Kaehler manifold of Wess-Zumino supergravity is the noncompact coset space SU(N,1)/(SU(N) x U(1)) and the Kaehler metric is an Einstein metric. The mass sum rule turns out to be the same as that in global supersymmetry. This mass sum rule makes it possible to have supersymmetry (SUSY)-breaking and vanishing scalar potential. Effective theories with or without the grand-unified-theory (GUT) sector are derived from the Wess-Zumino supergravity. They do not have scalar mass terms and trilinear terms among the soft SUSY-breaking terms. Their relevance to the gravitino mass problem is suggested. In a simple SU(5) SUSY GUT model they also show how the scalar partners of quarks and leptons and gauginos get their masses radiatively. The stability problem of the gauge hierarchy is also discussed. 21 references, 12 figures.

TL;DR: In this paper, the mass formula for the axion system is analyzed taking into account instanton effects, and it is argued that small-size instantons serve as an independent source of axion's mass.
Abstract: The mass formula for the ..pi.., eta, A (axion) system is analyzed taking into account explicit instanton effects. It is argued that small-size instantons serve as an independent source for the axion's mass which may render the axion more massive than the mixing the bare axion with ..pi.. an eta.
