TL;DR: In this article, the mean mass of each baryon isospin multiplet was used to test the octet mass formula, taking into account the electromagnetic mass shifts of the baryons.
Abstract: It is shown that in order to take into account the electromagnetic mass shifts of the baryons in testing the baryon octet mass formula, the mean mass of each baryon isospin multiplet may be used.

TL;DR: In this article, a complete classification of pentaquark states in terms of the spin-flavour SU(6) representations is presented, including singlets, octets, decuplets, anti-decuplets and 27-plets.
Abstract: We construct a complete classification of pentaquark states in terms of the spin-flavour SU(6) representations. We find that only some definite SU(3) representations are allowed, singlets, octets, decuplets, anti-decuplets, 27-plets and 35-plets. The latter three contain exotic states, which cannot be constructed from three quarks only. This complete classification scheme is general and model independent and is useful both for model builders and experimentalists. The mass spectrum is obtained from a Gursey-Radicati type mass formula, whose coefficients have been determined previously by a study of qqq baryons. The ground state pentaquark which is identified with the recently observed Theta(1540) state, is predicted to be an isosinglet anti-decuplet state. Its parity depends on the interplay between the spin-flavour and orbital contributions to the mass operator.

TL;DR: From the reaction 16,18O(t,p)18,20O at Et=2989.12 keV, the ground-state mass excess of 20O has been estimated to be 3795.60+or-1.94 keV.
Abstract: From the reaction 16,18O(t,p)18,20O at Et=2989.80+or-2.12 keV, the ground-state mass excess of 20O has been estimated to be 3795.60+or-1.94 keV. The validity of the IMME is tested in the A=20 quintet.

TL;DR: In this article, the glueball spectrum is studied on the basis of a harmonic confinement model proposed and studied earlier for quark systems, and a Bethe-Salpeter framework with an instantaneous approximation for the kernel is used for the dynamics.
Abstract: The glueball spectrum is studied on the basis of a harmonic confinement model proposed and studied earlier for quark systems. A Bethe-Salpeter framework with an instantaneous approximation for the kernel is used for the dynamics. An explicit mass formula including spin-dependent effects is obtained in terms of only an overall spring constant, which in turn is determined by the corresponding quantity for hadron (qq-bar,qqq) spectroscopy. The final spectrum is consistent with the limited experimental data available and qualitatively similar to bag-model results with QCD corrections.

TL;DR: In this article, a statistical model for the number density of quark and antiquark is proposed, which yields a mass formula of the S state levels of,, and families.
Abstract: Within the framework of the statistical model, various properties of mesons are studied. The model which leads to an analytical expression for the number density of quark and antiquark, yields a mass formula of the S state levels of , , and families. The level spacing between the ground state and a radially excited state in ψ and ϒ families studied in this model reveals interesting relations between the sizes of the particles. With the wave function suggested from the model as an input, magnetic dipoles decays of π and K mesons have been investigated and reasonable agreement is obtained with the experimental findings (and theoretical estimates in some cases). Numerical estimates of the decay amplitudes of many a vector and pseudoscalar meson, are also found to be in accord with experimental and theoretical values.
