TL;DR: In this article, the structural and magnetic properties of a series of pseudobinary compounds based on Gd3Co have been analyzed in terms of the Neel theory of metamagnetism and various exchange interaction coefficients have been obtained.
Abstract: Measurements have been made of the structural and magnetic properties of a series of pseudobinary compounds based on Gd3Co. The results have been interpreted in terms of the Neel theory of metamagnetism and the various exchange interaction coefficients have been obtained.

TL;DR: In this paper, the magnetic properties and magnetocaloric effect around phase boundary were investigated in La(FexAl1−x)13 compounds and the Fe content was tuned from 0.86 to 0.89 and observed a gradual change from ferromagnetic to weak antiferromagnetic (AF) state, where two spaced transitions appeared, one at TO from F to AF and the other at TN from AF to paramagnetic state.
Abstract: Magnetic properties and magnetocaloric effect (MCE) around phase boundary were investigated in La(FexAl1−x)13 compounds. We tuned the Fe content from 0.86 to 0.89 and observed a gradual change from ferromagnetic (F) to weak antiferromagnetic (AF) state. A completely F ground state at x=0.86 is followed by the emergence of AF coupling at x=0.87 and 0.88, in which two spaced transitions appear, one at TO from F to AF and the other at TN from AF to paramagnetic state. Continuously increasing Fe to x=0.89 results in a completely AF ground state. The magnetic properties of sample x=0.89 is especially interesting under an increasing external field. The state under a field of around 3.2T shows two successive transitions, predicting that two peaks may appear in the temperature dependent magnetic entropy change ΔS. Maxwell relation was employed to calculate ΔS. With the emergence and enhancement of AF coupling, the ΔS profile evolves from a single-peak shape at x=0.86 to a nearly constant-peak shape at x=0.87 and ...

TL;DR: The high-field magnetization process in the randomly diluted metamagnet Fe1−xMgxTiO3 has been investigated in single crystal samples with x≤03 by using dc magnetic fields of up to 300 kOe generated by a hybrid magnet as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The high‐field magnetization process in the randomly diluted metamagnet Fe1−xMgxTiO3 has been investigated in single crystal samples with x≤03 by using dc magnetic fields of up to 300 kOe generated by a hybrid magnet In contrast to the sharp metamagnetic transition along the hexagonal c axis observed in FeTiO3, the diluted compounds show a considerable smearing in the transition with increasing Mg concentration When the field is applied along the a axis at 42 K, a sudden jump in magnetization occurs at 235 kOe in FeTiO3, while no anomaly is observed up to 300 kOe along the a* axis which is taken to be perpendicular to both c and a axes The jump field is lower in the diluted compounds For the sample with x=0185 we have also observed an anomalous increase in magnetization along the a* axis at 270 kOe
