TL;DR: In this article, a mean field model for the purely ferromagnetic spin configuration near the metamagnetic phase transitions in La 1−xNdxMn2Si2 (x=03) at a constant magnetic field (50 mT) was proposed.
Abstract: Experimental measurements for the magnetization at various temperatures are analyzed using a mean field model for the purely ferromagnetic spin configuration near the metamagnetic phase transitions in La1−xNdxMn2Si2 (x=03) at a constant magnetic field (50 mT) By fitting the temperature dependence of the magnetization from the free energy in the mean field model to the experimental data for this compound, the coefficients in the free energy expansion are determined Our analysis of the magnetization describes a first-order character of the metamagnetic transition in La1−xNdxMn2Si2 (x=0) on the basis of the mean field model studied here

TL;DR: In this article, the authors performed specific heat, AC magnetic susceptibility and magnetization measurements on polycrystalline Ce 5 Si 3-δ (0 ⩽ δ⩽ 1) and (Ce 1− x La x )5 Si 3 -δ(0 ⌽ x ⌾ 1) in magnetic fields up to 150 kOe and in temperatures down to 0.4 K.
Abstract: Tetragonal Cr 5 B 3 -type Ce 5 Si 3 shows a metamagnetic jump in the magnetization curve around 40 kOe at 1.3 K. In order to clarify the mechanism we performed specific heat, AC magnetic susceptibility and magnetization measurements on polycrystalline Ce 5 Si 3-δ (0 ⩽ δ ⩽ 1) and (Ce 1− x La x ) 5 Si 3-δ (0 ⩽ x ⩽ 1) in magnetic fields up to 150 kOe and in temperatures down to 0.4 K. The magnetic properties were hardly affected with δ, but strongly affected with x . For x = 0.25, the metamagnetism disappeared completely. Anomalous low temperature behavior including the metamagnetism is discussed in connection with a Ce-dimer model with ground singlet and excited triplet states.

TL;DR: Longitudinal and transverse magnetoresistances of CeCu 2 indicate a clear metamagnetic behavior at about 20 kOe when the magnetic field is applied along the a-axis in the orthorhombic structure as mentioned in this paper.
