TL;DR: In this article, a new polyphenol useful as a raw material for IC encapsulant, lamination material, electrical insulation material, etc., epoxy resin hardener, color development inhibitor and fading inhibitor for heat-sensitive recording material.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a new polyphenol useful as a raw material for epoxy resin for IC encapsulant, lamination material, electrical insulation material, etc., epoxy resin hardener, color-development inhibitor and fading inhibitor for heat-sensitive recording material, etc. CONSTITUTION: The polyphenol of formula I (R is 1-4C alkyl or 5-7C cycloalkyl; (n) is 0-2), e.g. 4,4'-[(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl) methylene]bis[2,6-dimethylphenol]. The polyphenol of formula I can be produced by reacting 3,4- dihydroxybenzaldehyde with a phenolic compound of formula II in an alcohol solvent in the presence of an acid catalyst, neutralizing the acid catalyst existing in the reaction mixture after the completion of the reaction, adding a mixed solvent consisting of aromatic hydrocarbon and aliphatic ketone to the reaction mixture, heating the mixture and cooling to crystallize the polyphenol. The mixed solvent to be used in the above process is a mixture of toluene and methyl isobutyl ketone. COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method for separating tantalum and niobium from a raw material containing the tantalum, comprising of the following steps: dissolving the raw material consisting of the two components by utilizing hydrofluoric acid or the mixing solution of the hydrofluororic acid and sulfuric acid to obtain the solution containing tantalum.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for separating tantalum and niobium from a raw material containing the tantalum and the niobium, comprising the following steps: dissolving the raw material containing the tantalum and the niobium by utilizing hydrofluoric acid or the mixing solution of the hydrofluoric acid and sulfuric acid to obtain the solution containing tantalum and niobium fluorine coordination compounds; extracting the tantalum by utilizing methyl isobutyl ketone to obtain a tantalum-containing organic phase and a niobium-containing aqueous phase; washing the tantalum-containing organic phase by dilute sulphuric acid, and performing back-extracting by pure water to obtain the pure tantalum liquid; precipitating the niobium-containing aqueous phase to obtain the Nb (OH)5 precipitation; dissolving the obtained Nb (OH)5 precipitation by utilizing an oxalic acid and ammonium oxalate mixing solution to obtain an oxalic acid niobium ammonium solution; carrying out hot filtering, crystallizing, and recrystallizing process to obtain the oxalic acid niobium ammonium crystal; and calcining the crystal to obtain the pure niobium pentaoxide. The method can realize extraction and separation of the tantalum and the niobium at low hydrofluoric acid concentration, and solves the problems that a large amount of fluorine-containing waste liquid and waste residue are generated in the extracting and separating process at the high hydrofluoric acid concentration, and F content in the final product is higher.

TL;DR: In this paper, a combination and solidification evocating agent for unsaturated polyester resin, comprising components A and B with a weight ratio of 50:50-80:20, was presented.
Abstract: The invention relates to a combination and solidification evocating agent for unsaturated polyester resin, comprising components A and B with a weight ratio of 50:50-80:20, wherein the component A is obtained by diluting a mixture of acetylacetone, a methyl isobutyl ketone peroxide solution, a cyclohexanone peroxide solution and a desensitizer by dropping 50-70 percent of hydrogen peroxide, and the active oxygen content is 7.0+/-1.0 percent; the component A comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 0.15-0.25 of acetylacetone, 0.3-0.5 of methyl isobutyl ketone peroxide solution, 0.1-0.2 of cyclohexanone peroxide solution and 0.05-0.18 of hydrogen peroxide, and the weight of the desensitizer is 10-50 percent of that of acetylacetone; and the component B is an evocating agent L-DT of Changning Chemical Limited Company in Changtian city. The combination and solidification evocating agent is suitable for various products and forming technologies of unsaturated polyester resin, can prolong the storing period of resin paste at room temperature and reduce the solidification temperature, has lower thermopositive peaks, and obviously improves the bending strength of the products.
