TL;DR: In this article, a polyhydric compound having an epoxy equivalency greater than 1 is cured by means of an N, N-dialkyl-1, 3-propane diamine.
Abstract: A glycidyl ether of a polyhydric compound having an epoxy equivalency greater than 1 is cured by means of an N, N-dialkyl-1, 3-propane diamine. The alkyl groups may be the same or different. Preferably each alkyl group contains less than 3 carbon atoms, but the alkyl groups may be propyl, butyl, isobutyl, amyl, 2-ethylhenyl or stearyl. Curing agents specifically mentioned are N-methyl-N-ethyl-1, 3-propane diamine; N-methyl-N-butyl-1, 3-propane diamine; N, N-diethyl-1, 3-propanediamine; N, N-dimethyl-1, 3-propanediamine. Methods of making suitable curing agents are described in Specification 521,831, [Group IV], and U.S.A. Specifications 2,429,876 and 2,436,368. Curing temperatures may vary from 20-250 DEG C. The glycidyl ethers employed may be prepared as described in Specifications 680,997 and 681,099. Suitable glycidyl ethers are prepared from epichlorhydrin and 2, 2-bis (4-hydroxyphenyl) propane or glycerine. To facilitate mixing with the curing agent the glycidyl ether may be heated or mixed with a solvent which may be a volatile one which escapes before or during curing, e.g. acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, isophorone, ethyl or butyl acetate, ethylene glycol monoacetate, the acetate of ethylene glycol monomethyl ether, the methyl, ethyl or butyl ether of ethylene or diethylene glycol, trichloropropane or chloroform. These solvents may be diluted, e.g. with benzene, toluene, xylene or ethyl, isopropyl or n-butyl alcohol. Solvents which remain in the cured products may also be used, e.g. diethyl or dibutyl phthalate, liquid mono-epoxy bodies, e.g. glycidyl allyl or phenyl ether, styrene oxide, 1, 2-hexylene oxide, or aceto-, propio-, adipo- or benzonitrile. A glycidyl ether of a dihydric phenol may be fluidized with a liquid glycidyl ether of a polyhydric alcohol. The compositions may include pigments, dyes, plasticizers, or compatible resins. The adhesives and curing properties of compositions cured with varying amounts of amines and with different amines are compared in the examples. Example 4, 5 describes adhesive compositions containing in addition to the glycidyl ether, polyvinyl acetate, allyl glycidyl ether and asbestos; Example 4 to Specification 705,098.

TL;DR: In this article, an exhaustive study of the multicomponent extraction system WPA-MIBK was carried out, where the distribution of the main components (H3PO4, H2O, MIBK) and the major impurities of WPA (Ca2+, Mg2+, Al3+, Fe3+, SO42-, F-) between the conjugated phases were systematically studied.
