TL;DR: In this article, a cohydrodimerization between methyl vinyl ketone and excess methyl acrylate was carried out to yield methyl 6-ketoheptanoate and 2,7-octanedione in approximately equal ratio.

TL;DR: In this article, an anionic mechanism was proposed for the cyclopolymerization of diacrylylmethane, which is composed of recurring methylene dihydroresorcinol units.
Abstract: The attempted synthesis of diacrylylmethane by the acylation of methyl vinyl ketone with ethyl acrylate produced exclusively the homopolymer of diacrylylmethane. This new polymer is linear and is composed of recurring methylene dihydroresorcinol units. An anionic mechanism is proposed for the cyclopolymerization of diacrylylmethane. Polydiacrylylmethane undergoes chemical reactions which are characteristic of beta diketones and proof for structure of the polymer is based on solubility, fusibility, infrared absorption, ultraviolet absorption, and enol titration data.

TL;DR: In this paper, the macromolecular metal chelates (MMCs) were synthesized via the interaction of macromolescular ligands with TiCl4, Ti(OC4H9)9)4, Ni(OCOCH3)2, CoCl2 and Co( OCOCH3), and it was shown that MMC formed from aluminium organic compounds provided efficient catalysts for polymerization processes.
