TL;DR: Molecular evidence from matK sequence data suggests that the phylogenetic positions and the delimitation of the eight genera Magnolia, Michelia, Tsoongiodendron, Paramichelia, Alcimandra, Kmeria, Parakmeria and Manglietiastrum need to be reconsidered.
Abstract: The coding region of the matK gene was sequenced to infer the phylogeny of the family Magnoliaceae. Phylogenetic analyses of 21 matK sequences representing ten genera of Magnoliaceae and three outgroups suggest relationships among both subfamilies and genera. Monophyly of the subfamily Liriodendroideae (the genus Liriodendron) and the subfamily Magnolioideae is strongly supported, respectively. Within the subfamily Magnolioideae, three clades are formed: (1) the genus Magnlietia, (2) the subgenus Magnolia, and (3) the subgenus Yulania, with the genera Michelia, Paramichelia, Tsoongiodendron, Alcimandra, Kmeria, Parakmeria and Manglietiastrum. However, the genus Magnolia is shown to be a polyphyletic group, and the genus Michelia a paraphyletic group. Relatively low sequence divergences are detected among genera of the the subfamily Magnolioideae, ranging from 0.14% to 1.70%, especially in the tribe Micheliinae (0.14–0.98%). Molecular evidence from matK sequence data suggests that the phylogenetic positions and the delimitation of the eight genera Magnolia, Michelia, Tsoongiodendron, Paramichelia, Alcimandra, Kmeria, Parakmeria and Manglietiastrum need to be reconsidered.

TL;DR: A new taxon of Michelia, M. compressa var.
Abstract: A new taxon of Michelia, M. compressa var. lanyuensis S.Y. Lu, endemic to Lanyu (Orchid Island) of Taiwan is described and illustrated. It is sporadic from sea Level to 500m elevation in broadleaf forests. It is similar to M. compressa var. compressa of Japan and the Ryukyus, but is distinguishable by perianth color (white vs. yellowish with a pink base). It is also similar to M. compressa var. formosana, but differs in leaf texture (thick-coriaceous to coriaceous vs. coriaceous to thin-coriaceous) and leaf shape (rounded to cuspidate vs. cuspidate to acuminate at apex, and Ca. 2 times as long as broad vs. 3-4 times as long as broad).

Abstract: The variety of street trees applied is simple at present by way of investigating current situation in Hangzhou , which dont confirm to the status of international tourism city .Street trees should be diversified .Some hardwoods with high aesthetic value such as Liriodendron chinense , Liriodendron tulipifera , Liriodendron chinense L .tulipifera , Ginkgo biloba , Cercidiphyllum japonicum , Albiaaia julibrissin , Pseudolarix amabilis ,Magnolia denudata , and some ever-green trees with good greening effects such as Neolitsea sericea , Cinnamomum japonicum var .chenii ,Daphniphyllum macropodum ,Machilus thunbergii , Altingia gracilipes and Michelia foreolata var .cinerascens are selected for main street trees .According to five zones composed by the West Lake scenic zone , factory zone , resident zone , window zone , downtown zone , different trees are applied to form scale and specialty in accordance to different function .Furthermore , reasonable assembling between level and color should be considered in order to attain the target of different sceneries with each step , different sceneries in four seasons and green color in four seasons .
