TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an exchange unit exchanging a data with a remote server (18) and a mobile telephone (50) by using a global system for mobile communication (GSM) type network.
Abstract: The station has a sensor (12) e.g. thermometer, measuring temperature. The station has an exchange unit exchanging a data with a remote server (18) and a mobile telephone (50) by using a global system for mobile communication (GSM) type network (20). The station transmits short message service (SMS) type messages, by a data transmission unit (14), during the exchange of the data with the server. The station has a unit (16) receiving the data. The messages have meteorological observations data representing the temperature and data representing date and hour at which measurements are performed.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of ease of use, usefulness, and enjoyment, and subjective norm regarding the use of mobile phones on US consumers' attitudes toward mobile communication and mobile commerce, and mobile technology use intention for shopping were investigated.
Abstract: Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects of ease of use, usefulness, and enjoyment, and subjective norm regarding the use of mobile phones on US consumers' attitudes toward mobile communication and mobile commerce, and mobile technology use intention for shopping.Design/methodology/approach – This work integrates the technology acceptance model of Davis and Fishbein and Ajzen's theory of reasoned action for its theoretical framework. In total, 341 college students in two large US universities provided usable responses. Structural equation modeling was employed to test the proposed model and research hypotheses.Findings – The results showed that the perceived ease of use, usefulness, and enjoyment, and subjective norm were the significant predictors of attitudes toward mobile communication and mobile commerce as well as mobile technology use intention for shopping. The findings also suggested that attitude toward mobile communication positively influenced attitude toward mobile com...

TL;DR: A framework of 3C-oriented small cell networks with IA is proposed, in which caching and computing are exploited to simplify the network topology, improve the throughput, reduce the backhaul load, and guarantee the quality of experience of users.
Abstract: In future generation mobile systems, hyperdense small cell networks will be deployed to meet the tremendous growth of mobile traffic, in which interference is a key limitation. Interference alignment, IA, is a potential technique for interference management of small cell networks. However, there are still some practical challenges that hinder the development of IA-based small cell networks. On the other hand, to better cope with the shift from the sender-driven end-to-end communication paradigm to the receiver-driven content retrieval paradigm, content-centric communication has attracted great attention. Together with recent advances in computing, a communications, caching, and computing - 3C - oriented design paradigm for mobile networks is emerging. In this article, we propose a framework of 3C-oriented small cell networks with IA, in which caching and computing are exploited to simplify the network topology, improve the throughput, reduce the backhaul load, and guarantee the quality of experience of users. Furthermore, some research challenges are discussed for 3C-oriented small cell networks with IA.

TL;DR: A Q-learning based mobile offloading strategy is proposed for dynamic environments to address smart attacks, in which the mobile device is unaware of the system parameters.
Abstract: Mobile devices, such as smartphones, can offload applications and data to the cloud via access points or base stations to reduce energy consumption and improve user experience. However, mobile offloading is vulnerable to smart attackers that use smart and programmable radio devices, such as universal software radio peripherals, to perform multiple types of attacks, such as spoofing and jamming, based on the radio environment and offloading transmissions. In this paper, a mobile offloading game is investigated that consists of three players: a mobile device that chooses its offloading rate, a smart attacker that determines its attack mode, and a security agent that decides whether or not to initiate full protection for the serving access point during the offloading. Nash and Stackelberg equilibria of the offloading game are derived and their existence conditions are discussed. A Q-learning-based mobile offloading strategy is proposed for mobile devices that are unaware of system parameters, such as the channel conditions, in dynamic radio environments. Simulation results show that the proposed offloading strategy can improve the utility of the mobile device and reduce the attack rate of smart attackers.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a data audit function for maintaining a consistency about a plurality of data stored as a replication data among data base nodes consisting of a mobile communication system.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method which uses a data audit function in order to maintain a consistency about a plurality of data stored as a replication data among data base nodes consisting of a mobile communication system. The method for auditing data based on timestamp criteria in replicated data bases in a digital mobile telecommunication system includes the steps of: (a) when there is a database access request, setting a time stamp about tuple accessed by the request, and managing a start, suspend, stop and resume events for a audit process; (b) managing a current status of the audit process, and information necessary for scanning each tuple; and (c) managing a request queue for the data base and CPU load. Accordingly, the present invention satisfies a system basic requirement being a real-time access in a mobile communication system including at least two data bases, maintains a consistency between two data replicated to each other, accurately controls a relationship between a mobile subscriber and a mobile terminal, and removes the incorrect data and the garbage data which may occur in a system operation, thereby effectively using the data base resource.
